Things I'm loving this month...March!

Hello My Lovelies,

I've not written a things I'm loving post since November so I thought I'd let you know some of the things I'm adoring this month!

First...My new bag and a very welcome addition to my growing designer collection is the Mulberry Bryn in flame. I saw this when I went to York last month (I wrote a blog post about my trip!) and fell in love. I actually left without buying it but when I got home I knew I had made a mistake leaving it behind so I rang one of the outlets and got it sent to me. I don't have a bag like this and it fits every thing perfectly-if you want to see an updated what's in my bag post let me know!

Next...Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, I have loved this product for a longgg time and I'm sure I've spoken of it before, but this winter it has been a total life saver. I'm sure you all know what it does etc so I won't bore you with the details but if you haven't already picked it up then make sure you do- and the great thing is Liz Earle do little travel sample sizes so you can try it out without committing to the big bottle.

Maybeline Colour Tattoo, Whilst Boots have 3 for 2 on I picked up the colours Eternal Gold, Metallic Pomegranate and Pink Gold. They are all really pigmented and last the stated 24 hours, I'm definitely going to buy a few more!

Next Mac Chatterbox lipstick, WOW! I love this colour, this is my 2nd Mac Lipstick but its by far my favourite. It's the perfect colour for my complexion and is not drying on my lips.

Next up Books! One of my New Year plans was to read more. A couple of weeks ago I ordered 3 books from Amazon- Sisterland, Wonder and The Fault In Our Stars. I have already read Sisterland and I am just getting started on Wonder. Whoop to me and my New Year plans working out!!

Finally spending time with my family. I'm really lucky to have such a great family- My sister lives a couple hours away from me and my parents and so we went to visit her for her birthday. She chose to visit Blenheim Palace which was a great choice as I've never visited there either. It was beautiful spring day, so lovely that we had a picnic outside on the grass before we went to look around and then before we left to go home we went for a meal at a local restaurant. It was so nice for the four of us to spend time together, here's to Easter when she will be home and we can have more fun days out!

What have you been loving recently? Let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

How much is my face worth? (weekend edition)

Hello My Lovelies,

A few posts ago I wrote a blog post on how much my face is worth (work edition) and I promised to do a weekend edition as I wear different make-up on the weekends- so here it is!

I start with the Collection concealer £4.19 this is a staple and something I wear on both a weekday and weekend. I then put some Seventeen concealer £5.49 on-this reminds me of a Clinique concealer I use. Next up I use Rimmel Stay Matte powder £3.99 I follow this with Nars Sheer Glow Foundation £30.50. This is my favourite foundation, I lasts all day and is such a lovely consistancy. I then add some Nars Laguna Bronzer £26.00. I love this bronzer but I do have to be really careful how much I put on as my face is so pale. I continue with a new purchase the Revlon highlighter/blush palette £8.99. I love the colours but find it a bit too glittery for my liking, so I only give my skin a slight sweep with this. I finally add some Rimmel eyebrow pencil £2.99 as I find this is such a great match to my light coloured brows and some Maybelline Color Tattoo £4.99 in pink gold. Also the finishing touch is my favourite lipstick of the moment Mac Chatterbox £15.00

So now for the total!! £102.14. I knew this would be higher than my work edition because I use higher end products on the weekends/holidays. I've recently started to love Mac products so I'm looking for recommendations of things I might like to try and add to my weekend regime!

How much is your face worth?

Don't forget my Giveaway that I'm running for hitting 300 Bloglovin Subscribers!!

The Beauty Scenario Tag!

Hello My Lovelies,

I was reading hannahheartss recent post and she had decided to do Lily Pebbles recent tag which is the Beauty Scenario Tag, after reading the questions I decided I wanted to do it too! Here's my answers...

1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep? My high end choice would be Nars Sheer Glow as I feel it's perfect in every way! My drug store one would have to be Rimmel Match Perfect as I love to wear this when I need a light foundation for work.

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely? Hmmm this is a tough one...I think I wouldn't tell her, I'm too nervous at interviews as it is so to tell the interviewer this would just be too much.

3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful? 100% Mac Chatterbox, it's new to my collection but every time I put it on I feel great-it's also a colour I find that suits my complexion.

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently? Ewww stop wearing it in a pony tail it looks so bad, also try and tame the frizz. I would also say try experimenting with makeup!

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund. OMG! I had this happen to me, I didn't say I wanted a celebrity cut but the hairdresser just went crazy and kept cutting...At the end I said I hated it and he said "Oh well I have another client waiting you'll have to come back!" I ran out of that shop after paying!!!(so angry with myself for that) and got my mum who isn't a hairdresser to help sort it out at home. I then didn't go to a hairdresser for about 3 years as I was so worried it would happen again.

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your makeup bag? Hmmm I would probably say my Mac Palette that I'm currently putting together.

7. Your house has been robbed, don't worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe? have two products...My Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish and Vaseline I can't live without either!!

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven't noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs. I think probably b.

So there you have it! I now tag each and everyone of you to do the same. If you do then please comment below so I can check it out!

Till next time,

Empties Number 2!

Hello My Lovelies,

Over the past month or so I've been keeping each item I finish up so that I can do a post...So here's my current empties.

Body Shop Vanilla Body Wash- I bought this in the Christmas sales, I've loved every body wash I've bought from them so far, and whilst I can't obviously repurchase this one till December I am going to go back and buy some different ones to try.

Sanex Deoderant- I really love this deoderant, it has a lovely scent and lasts all day!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish- my favourite cleanser of all time, I will never use a another product! I'm currently using the limited edition one they released last year which is nice but not as lovely as the original!

Finally...Soap & Glory face wipes- I bought these as I had a voucher for some extra boots points and they were also on offer. I don't really use face wipes too often any more but they did a good job of removing my make up before I use my Liz Earle, I probably wouldn't repurchase them though.

So there you have it, not too many items but empty none the less.

Have you used any of the items I mention?

Till next time,
                    Tori.

A trip to the North!

Hello My Lovelies,

So at the end of 2013 I wrote a post stating things I wanted to do in 2014, one of these things was to go to York to visit my old university pal and to take a day trip to Blackpool as it's a place I've always wanted to visit. So with a bit of organising my friend Lynz and I met up in London a couple of weeks ago and took the 2.5 hour train up to York where Manx (that's not her actual name, though it would be great if it was!) and her husband John met us and we took a little drive back to their cute barn conversion house!
The following day we all got up and drove to Blackpool! First stop our little group all got to go up the Blackpool Tower and got to see far and wide from the very top, which is in the freezing cold and where I got totally wind swept.

On our way down the tower we stopped off and went into the ballroom- it's totally not expected where I thought it would be; I imagined a grand door and a well lit room, in fact what I found was a dim seating area that took you straight back to the 1930's. You could imagine all the girls and boys coming to dance the night away, and the architecture was just beautiful.

I have never ball room danced but the music being played by the man on the Wurlitzer and the couples already dancing made me want to jump up and join them. Luckily for my friends and those there I restrained myself and just swayed to the music in my chair! After seeing the ballroom I've decided I need to go back and watch the last series of Strictly Come Dancing especially the episode where they go to Blackpool.

Next up was some obligatory seaside food...Fish & Chips!! Then it was off to the pier for a look, though it was a little depressing as it was so dead so we didn't hang around for long. Then we a nice walk back along the seafront to look at the comedy carpet opposite the tower which is a floor full of comedy quotes, we could of spent hours looking and reading them all!

Finally we had enough time to go and pick up some rock and have a quick drink before it was time to make the longggg journey back to York.

On my last full day Manx, Lynz and I went into York. We firstly hit up Fenwicks where I could not resist buying my second Mac lipstick in the shade 'Chatterbox', which is now by far my favourite lipstick! We then went for lunch at the world famous Betty's Tea Room.

I decided to have the Welsh rarebit with a pot of tea, and my companions had pancakes and tea cakes with tea-it was delicious and the surroundings were pretty cool too.

Any then before we knew it our few days visiting the North were over and we had to jump on the train back to London or for me back to my little isle. I had such a fab time and I can't wait for our next visit!!

Have you ever visited York or Blackpool, leave me a comment!

Till next time,

Mini Boots Haul!!

Hello My Lovelies,

On pay day I hit up Boots hard!! 3 for 2 across most of the store is just too hard to pass up and even now I'm thinking should I go back and buy some other things?!

Here's a mini beauty haul of the things I couldn't resist!

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pink Gold, Eternal Gold and Metallic Pomegranate-if you had told me 6 months ago that I would be buying eyeshadow I would of laughed, the reason why... I have really hooded eyes and you can't see much eyeshadow on my eye and it goes every where etc etc etc but since blogging I've become a bit braver and decided to embrace the hooded eye and try out some eyeshadow products!!

Next up...

Revlon Highlighting Palette in Rose Glow. I have a real obsession with anything rose gold at the moment and when I saw this sat in Boots I knew I would use it both on my cheeks and eyes-I can't wait to give this a good try this weekend!

Next...

Charles Worthington Mineral Hair Rescue Masque. I've heard some bloggers/YouTubers talking about this product and as I haven't tried it myself I didn't want to spend full price on a large tub so picked up this mini 25ml to see if I agree with the hype.

Finally...

Something I've never tried before as I wash my hair every day is the Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cool and Crisp. I picked this up as I want to go swimming more especially as we hit the summer months and I refuse to wash my hair twice a day...so I thought I could use this instead.

Have you given in and gone wild on the 3 for 2 Boots deal?! Let me know in the comments what you have bought and if there is anything I should be picking up!

Till next time,
                    Tori.

How much is my face worth?! (Work Edition)

Hello my Lovelies,

So I'm back today with a post that I've seen on some blogs recently and it's 'How much is my face worth?' Tag! I'm going to do two of these posts, this one will be what make up I wear to work and the next post will be how much my face is worth weekend/evening face is worth!

I actually use each of these products in order as you see them in the photo. So I start my morning routine with the Garnier roll on concealer at £10.49 followed by Collections Lasting Perfection Concealer at £4.19. Then I'll use Rimmel Match Perfection foundation which costs £6.99, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder £3.99. Then I'll add some Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder £27.00, then some Sleek Pixie Pink blusher £4.49 and finally my favourite eyebrow pencil Rimmel £2.99.

So the moment of truth how much is my face worth (work edition?!!) a grand total of £60.14
I don't think that's too bad as most of my products last for months so I don't feel too awful paying that kind of money out, plus the amount of hours my chosen make up is on my face for in a working day it's worth the money!!

How much is your face worth? I'll soon be doing my weekend/holiday face soon!

Till next time,
                    Tori.
