Product of the Month...July!

Hello My Lovelies,

As you read this I'm laying in the sun and sipping on a cocktail in Malta!! Whilst I'm away why don't you have a look at my product of the month for July!

My product of the month is....Papaya Gold Paw Paw Moisturising Balm.

A balm that soothes, relieves and moisturises and that it does! This little tube of joy has so many uses that it reminds me of my holy grail product Vaseline!
I've used it on my lips, try patches on my arms, a rash on my hand and its helped on all occasions. The back of the tube says that it can be used by people that have eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis as it is enriched with bio active manuka honey. Whilst this product has been brilliant so far this summer I think the Paw Paw will work best in the winter-I don't think it will leave my bag during the colder months.

I picked this up in Boots for roughly £5 but I'm pretty sure you can buy it from Superdrug too for the same price. You get 25g of product for that price and you literally only need a pea sized amount so will last ages even if you use it everyday.

Have you tried Paw Paw balm? Are you going to be buying it? Let me know in the comments.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

First Impressions...NYX Angel Blusher.

Hello My Lovelies,

I've never bought a NYX product before so this really is a first impressions of NYX but also the product I bought: a blusher in the colour Angel! This blusher is a really light peach colour that looks very natural on the skin almost to the point that you can't really see it at all.

The blush comes in a small black compact which fits nicely into my makeup bag and the product looks pretty in it's raised square shape.

However after all these great points for me at £7 it's just too expensive, I would rather buy a Makeup Revolution blush for a £1 that does the job just as well or even better. I know that beauty bloggers are always talking excitedly about NYX products but my first from them has been a bit of a disappointment. It doesn't mean to say I won't buy anymore from NYX but I'll definitely be asking for recommendations before I do!

Do you own any NYX products, what do you think of them...let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

Breville Active Smoothie Maker!

Hello My Lovelies,

Last month after looking week after week at the Breville Active blender I decided to buy it and then got all excited at the prospect of buying all the fruits and juices to blend up!

The day after I bought it I made my first ever smoothie which consisted of kale, pineapple, banana and coconut water- wow it was amazing!

The colour was a green (pond like look as my cousin kindly told me) but the flavour was most definitely banana. It's consistency was smooth but I came across a couple of lumps at the end which I'm guessing must of been pulp or pineapple I hadn't blended enough.

The blender was so easy to use-shove all your ingredients in the cup you will eventually drink from (so very little to wash at the end too!), put the blender lid on and hold the button down for roughly 30 seconds and voila you have a smoothie!

I can't wait till tomorrow morning when I'm going to try some different ingredients!!

Have you got a blender? Have you made smoothies? I'm looking for more recipes so make sure you leave them in the comments!

Till next time,

Henley Regatta!

Hello My Lovelies,

On Sunday 6th July I went to Henley Regatta in Oxfordshire with my sister and her friend. It was a gorgeous sunny day so we got to stroll along the riverbank watching the finals of the rowing and cheering on many teams including the British against the Americans!

As this was our first time we bought Regatta Enclosure tickets but once we had started to walk around we noticed that you could just sit on the river bank for free-it was still great to have tickets so that you could only enter if you had your pass!

It was so nice to dress up and even wear a hat which I never get the chance to do. We had a few glasses of Pimms in the Mahiki bar, and it was a lovely relaxed day!

Over the weekend The Saturdays were spotted celebrating Frankie's hen party, blogger Hannah Maggs and various Olympians- I always keep an eye out for celebrities but I didn't see any on this occasion.

It was a wonderful day and a great experience! Summer 2014 is shaping up nicely...

Have you been to Henley Regatta before, let me know in the comments.

Till next time,

Empties Number 3!

Hello My Lovelies,

I've been collecting lots of my empties over the past couple of months as I don't actually use too many things-so here is my limited collection of used items!

First up...

Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer £3.89 (unless on offer)- I always like to try out new shampoo/conditioners when they are first released and this Garnier one was no exception. I have already bought another one of these as it made my hair feel lovely and soft.

Body Shop Cranberry body wash £1.99- this is one of the body wash's I bought in the January sales and it has a sweet, sugary scent when Christmas comes round again I will popping into the Body Shop for more.

Yes to Cucumber face wipes £3.99- man alive these burnt and stung my poor little sensitive face, I won't be buying these again but I have picked up the yes to carrots to see if they do the same, fingers crossed they don't!

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish £13.25-  As you all know I love this stuff! I'm currently using the limited edition version.

Another favourite Effaclar Duo+ £15.50- I use this twice a day but it lasts a good two and a half months before I have to repurchase which I think isn't too bad and it does really help my skin.

Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion sachet £2.00-I've had the worst skin these past few weeks which is odd for me as I never get spots; so I decided to try this mask I've had in my drawer for a moment like this and it was great, I'm defiantly going to repurchase this.

And finally Vaseline Active Fresh deodorant £1.90- This stuff is strong, I literally choked every time I sprayed it...I won't be repurchasing this!

Have you tried any of these products I would love to know what you think!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Drive-In Cinema Experience!

Hello My Lovelies,

I'm loving this summer already and it's only just begun...On Saturday 21st June my sister and I had the best evening going to a drive in cinema! We arrived nice and early so that the car would be really close to the screen and that we could have a little picnic before the film started. It was really well organised with stalls selling popcorn, candy floss and slushies...we obviously had to treat ourselves to one of the slushies as it was so hot that evening.

At 7:45pm we all tuned our radios into the pre-set frequency and began to watch the classic that is Top Gun!!

As the sun set the film credits began to roll and we drove home discussing how hot Tom Cruise was in the 1980's!

Have you ever been to a drive-in cinema? Let me know in the comments.

Till next time,

Product of the Month...June!

Hello My Lovelies,

Last month I didn't bring you a favourites post but rather a product of the month and that's what I've decided to bring you again this month!

My product for the month of June is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in the colour Dim Infusion.

I have super fair skin so I find it really hard to find blushers that don't make my cheeks look really overdone and bright. The Hourglass ambient lighting blush is just right for my skin tone, it gives my cheeks a slight peachy colour that looks really natural.
The packaging is just beautiful with a shiny gold compact which makes me feel really happy when ever I take it out of my makeup bag to use.
The powder itself is very finely milled and only needs a quick swipe of the blusher brush across the cheeks to see the colour.
The only downside to this blush is the price at £28 it's not cheap, but as a special blusher worn on the weekends or nights out I feel it's worth the price tag.
You can buy Hourglass products from Space NK.

Do you own any of the Ambient Lighting blushes or powders, or are you tempted to treat yourself? Let me know in the comments!!

Till next time,

Fragrance Direct & Boots Haul.

Hello My Lovelies,

Today's post is a combined haul from Fragrance Direct and Boots.

Fragrance Direct is a fab website where you can pick up some really great bargains. I originally went on the website to buy a new eye shadow brush but then I decided that the discount on the Essie and Sally Hansen nail polishes were too big to miss.
I bought a EcoTools full eye shadow brush for £3.45, Essie nail polish in the colour All Tied Up for £2.50 and two Sally Hansen polishes in the colours Shell We Dance and Shore-ly both are still in the current collection which you can buy full price on the Boots website but I got them for £1.49 each-what an absolute bargain!!

In Boots I decided to stock up on some of the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, some Sensodyne toothpaste, Impulse body spray, I repurchased the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush, it's such a lovely summery scent. I also picked up the Soap & Glory Orangeasm body wash. I finally picked up two products I've not tried before the Bourjois CC Cream and Yes to cucumber face wipes-both I've heard great things about!
