Product of the Month...November

Hello My Lovelies

My product for this month is one that I've really enjoyed using for the past few months and that's great for keeping your skin nice and hydrated during the cold and dry winter.

My product for the month of November is... the Superdrug Calming Facial Sheet Mask.

I started using this mask earlier this year after never trying a sheet mask before. For a mask that only costs £1.29 it's a lovely soft and extremely moist mask with Green tea, Cucumber fruit and Aloe Vera means it's soothing yet refreshing and makes my skin feel super soft every time I've used it.

This drugstore face mask is so good that it rivals some more of my expensive ones, and I've now stocked up on them so that I always have one for emergencies or when even I need a pamper night!

Have you tried this face mask or any of the Superdrug masks- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

Lip of the Day & First Impressions!

Hello My Lovelies

Yesterday I decided to wear my new lip pencil from Maybelline for the first time! So I thought I'd share my first thoughts with you...

I paired it with my Rimmel lip pencil in Eastend Snob which defines the lip and matches the lip colour perfectly.

The Maybelline lip pencil is so creamy and glides on like a dream! The combination of the two products creates a really subtle matte finish- and I love the pink.

I would definitely make sure your lips were nice and exfoliated before applying as when I first tried the pencil it did cling to some dry areas.

I would be very tempted to go and pick up a few more colours as they are easy to apply and are great to throw in your bag.

Have you picked up any of the Maybelline lip pencils, what do you think of them- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

My Top 3 Rimmel Products!

Hello My Lovelies

I was thinking the other day how many Rimmel products I love and use on a daily basis and for how many years I've been using them for!! I then thought why not share my favourite three with you all...

My most favoured lip liner is the Exaggerate Full Color Liner in Eastend Snob! A beautiful pinky nude that goes perfectly with my Mac Chatterbox

Next up a beautiful berry nail polish called 'Urban Purple' and is perfect for this time of year. The application of this nail polish is fab as the brush is so wide, and the finished colour is vibrant and shiny.

Lastly the Professional eyebrow pencil in the colour Hazel- I always have trouble trying to find an eyebrow pencil colour that suits my fair brows. The Rimmel eyebrow pencil is almost a perfect match, it glides on, blends like a dream and best of all doesn't look orangey and fake!
I love Rimmel products and think they are such a great drug store brand and one that I always seem drawn too. What are your favourite Rimmel products, let me know in the comments.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Beauty Haul!

Hello My Lovelies,

I've had my eye on a few beauty bits recently and when I had a day off the other day I couldn't resist popping into Liz Earle and Boots to pick these products up!

First up the Liz Earle limited edition Cleanse and Polish in the scent sweet orange and mint.

Soon I was in Boots and I couldn't not leave without the Origins christmas set which has three 75ml tubes of their famous face masks. I have wanted to try this brand for so long but I couldn't justify £23 for one tube!

Whilst in Boots I also picked up one of the Mabelline lip pencils, which are apparently a good dupe for the Nars lip pencils. I picked mine up in the colour Love My Pink.

Finally I decided to use some of my points on the Benefit Tan about Town set it includes mini's Porefessional, Hoola bronzer and Bad Gal mascara. I've wanted to try Hoola bronzer for such a long time but just like the Origins face masks I couldn't justify the price- I'm hoping this cute mini version will help me decide if I need the full size.

And that dear friends is my latest beauty splurge!
Have you picked up any beauty bargains recently, let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                    Tori.

Autumn Essentials!

Hello My Lovelies,

With Autumn here and Winter on it's way I thought I would share with you all my must have and favourite essentials.

First up I love painting my nails in the Autumn/Winter, way more than any other time of the year and this colour is just one of my favourites for this time of year. Sally Hansen Pennies For Heaven nail polish- it's such a beautiful colour and fab for the festive season, I wear this colour a lot during November and December.
Next up...A lovely Yankee Candle in my favourite scent Fireaide Treats, I have these burning in my room every evening during Autumn and Winter and always ask for a couple at Christmas that I then keep in my drawer for the following year.

I always carry a hand cream in the winter and it can be a life saver if you get any dry patches when you're out and about- my chosen one is the L'Occitane Rose Petals and this tube lasts forever.

In the winter months I love reading and watching DVD's- this winter my sister and I have decided we're going to watch Friends from the beginning, we're currently back on season 2!

Do you have any favourite essentials for the colder months-let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

London Poppies Visit.

Hello My Lovelies,

Last Saturday my mum, sister and I went on a whirl wind day trip to London to primarily see the Poppies at the Tower of London but we also fitted in a bit of shopping and some food!

I was actually unaware that the Poppies had been at the Tower of London moat since the summer and so it was actually a bit of a last minute trip and of course we had to go the weekend the underground was shut at Tower gate so there was lots of walking to get to see them, but it was absolutely worth it!

It was such a moving experience even though it was extremely busy, to think that by the time you read this there will be 888,246 ceramic Poppies commemorating a British military fatality during the war.

We walked around as much of the tower as possible but some areas they had stopped the public going into as it was just so very busy. I'm really disappointed that I didn't realise also that they were selling the Poppies at the end of the installation and that I missed out on ordering one.
We then decided to go and have some lunch and we chose to go to Bills Restaurant, I had a lovely burger and fries and my mum and sister had salads. After a bit of a relaxing we jumped back on the underground and went along to Liberty where I picked up my first Liberty Christmas decoration, a wonderful sparkly little bauble!

And then it was time to get back on the train and head home!

It was a fab but very long day...Have you seen the Poppies, let me know in the comments.

Till next time,

Disappointing Product Number 1

Hello My Lovelies,

I've never needed to write a disappointing product post before as up till this point I've loved everything I've tried.
Unfortunately I want to tell you all my thoughts on Hydraluron- I had read so many blog posts about this product and even my hairdresser had told me how great it was that I decided to pay the hefty £24 price tag and give it a go!

Hydraluron according to their website is "The ultimate daily facial moisture boosting serum that starts where your moisturizer stops.  hydraluron™ contains a pure form of hyaluronic acid, an incredibly hydrating ingredient that holds up to 1,000 times its weight in water.  Red marine algae helps with maximum delivery.  The result – better hydrated, moisture nourished, plumped up skin." How ever when I began to use it I noticed my hand started to get an awful allergy to it. My hand became itchy, sore and little bumps appeared on my hand/finger at first I didn't think it was the product and even went to the doctor who prescribed me medication. Then one day I decided to stop using Hydraluron to see if it was that causing the problem, low and behold the skin allergy became less intense and within a month had almost disappeared.

I contacted Indeed Labs and they said that maybe I had an allergy to one of the ingredients in their product, and yes whilst they were very good at telling me what might of gone wrong they weren't very interested in anything else I had to say/ask them.

It's weird that I had a reaction to this product as I've never had one before to products I've used, but I guess it was just one of those things. I'm also sad that I did react to it as I really wanted to love it.

Boots were great when I went in to explain what had happened, I didn't think they would be interested as I didn't have my receipt but they took it really seriously making sure I was now o.k and gave me a gift voucher for the value of the item- excellent customer service, so thank you Boots!!

Have you had an allergic reaction to Hydraluron or any other products- let me know in the comments!
