Curvy Girl Outfit of the Day 5-Iceland edition!

Hello My Lovelies

As you would of seen in an earlier blog post I took a trip to Iceland in December with my family- Here's just one outfits that I wore whilst there...

I made sure I was prepared for the cold weather before I went and packed lots of layers- the best place I found for most of my clothes was from Mountain Warehouse. My coat, wet trousers, bag, fleeces all came from there and I made sure to buy them all on sale or offer days. I always love a good bargain, and they were excellent quality.

I bought my boots from Shoe Zone (again another bargain) which kept my feet super warm, I paired these with some thick socks from Primark. I also bought some long sleeved tops from Dorothy Perkins. Finally my hat came from Marks and Spencer, my scarf is a Matalan one and my gloves are from Aldi.

Overall all of the clothes that I bought for this trip were on a budget and were perfect the weather that I encountered.

I absolutely loved Iceland and can't wait to book a longer trip there in the near future!

Till next time,

January Sales Haul!

Hello My Lovelies

Every year I love going to my local shops and check out all of the sales, using any vouchers I got for Christmas & picking up bits & bobs I've had my eye on! This year I also went online and succumbed to items I've wanted for a while- so here they all are (covers eyes!)

First up... I've been eyeing up the Ash Jalouse ankle boots for a few months now and always looking out for them when they went on sale- however I kept missing them when they did, so when I saw House of Fraser selling them with a reduction I decided to purchase them. I absolutely love them and can't wait to wear them on a night out in the near future!

Next up I've seen a couple of bloggers/YouTubers recently praising the Aromatherapy Associates bath oils and on Boxing Day I went searching for the cheapest retailer to pick one up from so that I too could give it a go. The cheapest place was the Aromatherapy Associates website and even offered 10% off if you signed up to their newsletter. I didn't actually think the discount would work on sale items but surprisingly it did! I decided to spend as little as possible as I've never tried their products before and so I chose the Star bauble for £4.50 with one small oil inside-I'll let you all know what I think once I've tried it.

The next item I ordered from the States, after adding a Rebecca Minkoff to my wish list earlier in the year and umming and ahhing I couldn't resist a bit of a bargain in the sales in the shape of the Mini Mac in the colour petrol. I can't wait to use this bag when I go on holiday later this year- just big enough for all of my essentials.

I then bought some gifts for birthday presents later in the year from Boots- I can't show them here as family/friends read my blog and I don't want to spoil the surprise. How ever they were excellent bargains, and because they came from the premium beauty range I recieved 500 boots points for buying two items- so a present for them and me!

I also bought a super soft nightie, a floral top and dark purple blazer for work in the Marks and Spencer's sale- the three items came to £40 saving £35!!

I then picked up a lunch bag from Matalan- I keep putting my lunch in my handbag for work and crushing it, when I saw this cute bag which my sister already has and raves about I grabbed my own!

My final purchase is a cheat and wasn't in the sale! I recently went away on holiday and had saved some extra cash to spend in duty free- I got a few bits but I didn't get everything I wanted so came home with some of the money. I remembered on Christmas Day that the Tom Ford boys & lips mini lipsticks were being released and so I popped to the Selfridges website and bought my first ever TF lipstick!!

               (It's a beaut isn't it!)

And that as I write this post is everything that I have bought...so far! (Well it's only early January!)

I would love to know what you've all bought, and maybe help enable me a little more.

Till next time,
                    Tori.

High End Beauty Favourites of 2014!

Hello My Lovelies

This year I've gone a bit crazy for all high end products, that's not to say I haven't loved and bought lots of drug store ones (as you would if seen in one of recent blog posts!) but in comparison to previous years, 2014 has been all about my love of Mac and Chanel to name just a few. In this post I wanted to share with you my favourites!

First up is the Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in Pillow Talk, such a smooth long lasting lip liner and one that you can use all over the lip too.

Next up is the Anastasia Brow Wiz in the colour Ash Blonde- this has to be my favourite product- I'm always trying to find an eyebrow pencil to match my super light brows and this is the one! This item was my December beauty favourite, so make sure you read the post!!

Next up is Clinique high impact mascara which I actually got free with a magazine and has been a brilliant little mascara and one that I'm going to buy in the full size.

and Finally my favourite lipstick of 2014 is Mac Girl About Town- Out of all the lipsticks I own and have owned this is the most long lasting, I wear it mainly on nights out, so I put it on just before I leave the house and when I get home its still there and just as strong!

Do you own any of these products, I would love to hear what you think!

Till next time,

Budget Beauty Favourites of 2014!

Hello My Lovelies

As we come to end of another year I wanted to share with you all my favourite budget beauty products of 2014. All of these items have been used most days and ones that I have repurchased- make sure you let me know if you've used any of them!

This ecotools tapered blush brush- the brands brushes as a whole are such great quality and the price amazing, I have a few of the brushes and I have to say I couldn't be with out them. My favourite of them all is the blush brush, it's angled so picks up just enough of the product and then evenly distributes across the apples of my cheeks. This past year I have washed this brush over and over and its kept its shape and hasn't shed!

Makeup Revolution vivid baked blusher in the colour Make Love Instead- This year Makeup Revolution took the blogger world by storm, I was pretty quick to notice that their products are high quality and won't break the bank, that means I can use them everyday without worrying about how I'm going to afford to repurchase them. The blush is just one of the amazing products they sell, I use my ecotools blush brush to put a very small amount on and it lasts all day- if you haven't already bought from this company give them a try in 2015.

The Body Shop honey bronzer in the lightest shade possible 01- Probably my most favourite bronzers of all times! I'm so very pale and when I use bronzers I can look a bit orange but the Body Shop bronzer is so light, it just highlights my face- I love it!

Finally...Seventeen Phwoarr Paint in the colour fair- for a drug store concealer you can't get much better than this- and if you can I want to know about it! I hate my dark under eye circles but when I wear this I defiantly feel a lot less self conscious about them. A light, creamy concealer that blends well and looks natural.

Have you tried any of these products in 2014? What have been your favourite drug store products this year- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

End of 2014 Round up!

Hello My Lovelies,

As we enter the end of the year I thought I would write a post reflecting on how 2014 has been for me!

This time last year I wrote a very similar blog post stating that I didn't have any New Years resolutions but I did note some things that I wanted to achieve by the end of 2014, so let's see if I have!

1. I wanted to visit my old uni friend in York & go up the Blackpool Tower- Yay I got to do both of these in February! It was a brilliant trip as I got to hang with some of my closest friends but she also told me that she was expecting her first child- who was born in September!!

2. Buy a Mac or Chanel lipstick- well I think I was pretty successful at that as I bought or had bought for me in the course of 2014, 6 Mac lipsticks and 2 Chanel ones...Whoops!

3. Stress less- I think I need to work on this one for next year....

4. Spend less- I have begun to save more this year, but I need to do a lot more in the coming year.

5. Look at new job opportunities- You all need to read my blog post from August, changes in my career took place!!!

6. Read more- I decided to sell my kindle earlier in the year and after that I began to read a whole lot more, I missed holding a book in my hand.

7. Look at going on holiday or away for the new year- well I didn't plan a holiday for new year but I have just got back from a holiday in Iceland (I arrived back the day before Christmas Eve!) I also went on holiday to Malta in the summer and I've already got two holidays booked for 2015.

8. Blog more and go to a blogger meet up- I have achieved both of these- I went to my first blogger meet up in May in Southampton which was amazing. I started blogging twice a week and I like that my readers get to see at least two posts per week!

I think I've done really well with my hopes for 2014, I think they were all achievable goals which was a good thing- though, I'm even shocked that I actually succeeded at number 5 (if you know me you'll know why!!)
So here's the tricky part what do I want to do in 2015, what do I want to say Yessss! I did it in a blog post this time next year?

1. Let's start with an easy one- continue blogging and enjoying it!

2. See some more interesting and vibrant countries-I've already booked my next trip.

3. Save more!!!!

4. Own a Jo Malone candle (shallow I know!)

5. Continue doing things that make me happy and push me to do things outside of my comfort zone.

How has 2014 been for you? I would love to hear your plans for 2015!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Till next time,
                   Tori.
