Spring Beauty Fix- Southampton

Hello My Lovelies

This past weekend I popped along to the Spring Beauty Fix at West Quay in Southampton. A weekend of on trend beauty and fashion tips with Colour consultant Lesley Wrankmore!

If that wasn't enough there was also some fab discounts from the likes of the Perfume Shop, The Body Shop, Boux Avenue and so many more.

I took a little break to use my Krispy Kreme voucher and went and chilled by having a cup of tea and taking advantage of my free doughnut.

But by far the best part of the weekend was the opportunity to take part in the Beauty Amnesty- all you had to do was bring in five old beauty items that could include lip balms, concealers, blushes etc, answer a few questions and in return receive a £10 beauty voucher to be spent that weekend, it was truly that simple!

I chose to take my voucher straight to the Mac counter and picked out a lipstick I had had my eye on for a few months...Plumful!

To Finish off a brilliant day I popped into Minnie's pop shop owned by TOWIE stars Sam and Billie Faiers, I perused all of their clothes and merchandise and then had time for a quick photo before it was time to head back to my little Isle.

Did you visit any of the Spring Beauty Fix events this past weekend, did you visit West Quay let me know in the comments.

Till next time,

Curvy Girl Outfit of the Day Number 7-Germany edition!

Hello My Lovelies

I recently went to Germany with my sister for a few days to visit the city and to watch Katy Perry in concert. Whilst there I took the opportunity to take a few photograph's of the outfit I wore one of the days.

My coat is from Matalan and is all fleeced lined which was fab for the cold weather in Germany.

My jumper is an H&M one, it reminds me a lot of the Wildfox ones but this one is obviously much cheaper!
The skirt is a velvet Marks & Spencer one, super comfy and I wore it with black leggings from Dorothy Perkins.

My bag is a brown Longchamp that my sister kindly bought me for Christmas and this was its first outing!

Finally I wore my new Ray Ban Erika's- I absolutely adore Ray Ban sunglasses (so much so a blog post will be going up soon about my obsession!)

I had such a fab time walking around Cologne and visiting their version of the famous padlock love bridge and the highlight was seeing Katy Perry again in concert. I wrote about seeing her last May so make sure you go and read that post.

Have you got a favourite outfit of the day post or have you written one, let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                     Tori.

Empties Number 6!

Hello My Lovelies

It always feel like forever when ever I post an empties and I think that's because I just don't use a lot of stuff up quickly. I do have a few items to show you some I will repurchase others not so much!

I do use deodorant quickly, I usually go through a can very two weeks which I think is pretty fast so I'm always on the look out for new scents or my favourite ones on offer in Superdrug and Boots and then I buy them in bulk. I've just used up the Soft & Gentle in Wild Rose & Vanilla and this one I will definitely repurchase. I also after about 18 months have finished the Body Shop Vanilla body mist which I adore and I have one ready to go which my sister bought me for Christmas.

I'm not a fan of dry shampoo it I do like to have a can in my drawer for lazy days so I picked this one up from Herbal  Essences which has a citrus fragrance. I actually hate this stuff and I was glad that the nozzle broke before I got to finish it. It made my hair matted and sticky and I could smell it all day and not in a good way! I have since purchased Collab from a Model Recommends, it's such a different dry shampoo and smells great.

Finally in this edition of my empties is another product I always repurchase and have in my drawer off when my hair gets a little dry and is need of a little pamper.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle reconstructor deep conditioner. I love to lather this on the ends of my hair and brush it through with my Tangle Teezer whilst I'm in the shower. Like the packet says it does 'restore manageability and shine' seriily what more could I ask from a £1 sachet of conditioner!

Have you tried any of these beauty products before? Let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                    Tori.

Face of the Day using W7 products!

Hello My Lovelies

The beautiful lot at W7 kindly sent me some products to try and so here's my face of the day using mostly W7 make up!

I started by using a little Nars concealer and Gosh prime & set powder I then used the first W7 product some of the lip and cheek stain called a hint of Bali. I put this first on my lips but it didn't really colour them & had an odd taste. I preferred it more on my cheeks as it gave a lovely hint of colour and looked really natural.

I then chose to use the eye shadow palette from W7 called In the buff- Lightly Toasted a natural nudes set. The colour I decided for today's look is Twister a beautiful gold, I'm always drawn to these sorts of colours and the W7 version of this colour didn't disappoint and was totally fab! It's highly pigmented and lasted all day!

I finally added a bit of colour to my very light eyebrows using the colour Cracker from the palette and then used the W7 Absolute Lashes mascara. I'm always testing out new mascaras but I can never seem to find one I love. This high street version did a great job at lengthening my lashes and was quick and easy to use, which is one of the things I look for in a good mascara.

You can pick up these super cheap makeup products and more from Asda, TX Maxx, Fragrance Direct and Peacocks!

Have you tried any of W7's makeup? Are you tempted by any of these items? Let me know in the comments.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Disappointing Product Number 2-Dr Organic Snail Gel Moisture Mask

Hello My Lovelies

When I popped in to my local Holland & Barrett I saw that they stocked the Dr Organic Snail Gel Moisture Mask and the uniqueness of it all made me want to give it a try.

A couple of Saturday evenings ago my sister, mum and I had a pamper evening and so I grabbed the snail mask and we started to lather the clear gel on. Within a minute it started to tingle for all of us but we decided to leave it on for a another minute or so- it's then I noticed my sisters face was bright red and she said it felt really sore, she immediately washed it off but her face was left bright red and in pain.

The redness stayed like this for a few hours. My mum and I's face was just as sore but not as red but this was still uncomfortable.

As you can imagine we didn't expect this from a face mask and for all of us to have an allergic reaction to it. This is one face mask I wouldn't ever use again, I would definately suggest that if you have sensitive skin that you avoid using it or use with caution! I'm so disappointed that this face mask was an epic fail as it sounded like a fab product.

Have you tried this face mask from Dr organic?

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Wish List number 1 of 2015!

Hello My Lovelies

Who like me doesn't have a constant little wish list at the back of their minds?

This first wish list of 2015 is full of high end face products, don't ask me why but they are the ones that I haven't been able to get out of my head. I'm hoping that friends and family that read my blog might even like to contribute to some of these items as my birthday is in April (I'll keep my fingers crossed) and I'll of course share any that I do purchase in the following months here on my blog.

Untitled #4

I keep going in to Space NK when I leave my little island and swatching the different colours of the By Terry Ombre Blackstar  and then becoming over whelmed and leaving without one. Again as I live on an island it's very tricky being able to order foundation colours without being matched so I don't actually know when I will at last get my hands on either of the foundations from Giorgio Armani or Charlotte Tilbury- though I will be searching high and low on blogs to read some reviews. I've got my eye on pretty much all of the Burberry eye shadows though I would like to own the shade Pale Barley. Finally I would love to pick up a Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in the shade Champagne Diamonds.

Have you splurged on any of these beautiful beauty items, let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                     Tori.

Bionsen Caring Touch Deodorant- a review!

Hello My Lovelies

I'm a sucker for trying new deodorants when ever I see a new one in Boots I have to buy it, so when Bionsen contacted me to try their new roll on which promised to be gentle and have long-lasting freshness I couldn't wait to use it.

Released on the 9th March in Boots for £2.35 it's a fab little bottle perfect for handbags or trips away. Free from aluminium, parabens and alcohol with added Vitamin E meant it was super kind to my sensitive skin and kept me fresh all day. The floral scent isn't too over powering and I got subtle whifs of the fragrance over the day. I was also really pleased that it wasn't at all sticky after application, dried quickly and didn't leave any white marks on my clothing!

I wish it was a little cheaper or on offer more as I would definitely buy this more often, how ever I will keep my eyes peeled when I'm in Boots next and look forward to trying more from the brand in the coming months!

Make sure you check out Bionsen in your local Boots and their Twitter page @bionsenbeauty for more information and brilliant giveaways!

Till next time,
                   Tori.
