Product of the Month...August!

Hello My Lovelies,

My product of the month of August is a huge purchase that I made last month- having seen this bag on Fleur De Force I became obsessed with looking at pictures of it on Instagram to the point I could no longer resist and so an order was made to Harrod's during its 10% off weekend. Without further ado it's the Chloe Drew Bag!!

For such an expensive handbag I decided to be sensible and order the black with gold hardware as I know I can use this bag throughout all seasons- I could of easily of picked the grey or cream!
The bag is a great size for daily use I can fit my purse, phone, sunglasses, little makeup bag and keys easily. I wouldn't want to add anything else as this bag could easily become over filled. The leather is super soft and the gold details in the clasp and chain are so classic. The leather might scratch over time but like a lot of my bags that have done this it just adds to the look and actually they have aged really well which is what I expect with the Chloe Drew.
Its such a beautiful bag I'm reluctant to put it in it's dust cover as I just want to keep looking at it forever!

I think it's safe to say my bank card is now locked away for ever more!!

What are your favourites this month?

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Back to School Stationary Must Haves!

Hello My Lovelies

Ok ok it's been some years since I went to school or even uni but my love for stationary has never faltered! The feeling of going out shopping buying your back to school pencil case and the agonising decision of fluffy or tin one!
Fast forward many years later and I still love to pick out a new diary, pens, notebooks etc!

Here are my top picks for school bags or work bags this September!

Everybody needs some bear highlighters and a globe pencil sharpener. Both are from Paperchase and cost £3.00 & £2.00.

This eraser from WHSmith and also a puzzle, everyone will want to play with when they spot this on your desk. This eraser costs £4.49 bargain!
I absolutely adore any notebooks that are monogrammed, each unique to the owner and this one from Chroma Stationery the 'Jessica' for only £8.50 and embossed with any text of your choice- if you decide to check these out make sure you tell them I sent you!

Ooooh pretty starry pencil case and Emma Bridgewater pen will go down a treat back at school or at work this September. The pencil case is £6.00 from Paperchase and the pen from WHSmith at £8.00 a little pricey but great treats!

Finally on my lineup of fab stationery is the marble or neon pocket monogrammed letter notebook from Studio Sarah, you can never have too many notebooks- I'm new to this brand but the minute I saw this T (for Tori) I wanted it! Not only do they sell notebooks but super pretty cards and gift tags- I want, no need them all!

Let me know which stationery item is your favourite and what bits and bobs you've bought for the new school year.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

A weekend away in London!

Hello My Lovelies

At the end of July my mum and I took a trip to London, we had been planning this for a couple of months and we made sure that we packed in lots to see and
do. We couldn't of picked a worse weekend as the weather was atrocious and rained all day but here are some of my highlights from our time away.

Victoria & Albert Museum- Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty Exhibition.
An opportunity to see the stunning master pieces of this world renowned designer. Sadly Alexander McQueen passed away in 2010 so this exhibition brought all of his most amazing pieces together and an insight into how his mind worked.

The exhibition which has been sold out the entire run was extremely
strict on time slots which I thought would mean that the rooms wouldn't be too busy, but in fact for the most there were very large groups of people and you had to be really patient to see each of the items.
This didn't dampen my experience though and it was still an amazing and mesmerising collection and a marvel to see.

After visiting the exhibition we went straight for food at Vintage Salt the roof top restaurant at Selfridges.

We started with the bread, yum! I tucked into a vegetable risotto and my mum made a fab choice of the burger- we went for a carb overload!
After a look around Selfridges we took our weary bodies to the hotel we had booked for the night, a Premier Inn at Victoria with super comfy beds and for a London hotel was amazingly quiet.
The following day we went straight to the Kings Road for a look at the shops, I couldn't resist popping into Anthropologie and picking a beautiful candle for my sister.
Before long it was time for lunch and our reservation at the Ivy Chelsea Garden.

I absolutely loved the vibe and could of spent hours people watching- I did spot Chris Hollins of BBC news and Strictly winner!

With full bellies we took a walk to the market near the Saatchi gallery where we stocked up on cakes for the trip home. I then took my mum into the Sattachi gallery as she had never visited before- I love it, she found it odd!

After spending a good hour checking out the modern art work it was time to head back to the hotel and then make our way home.
I had such a fab time hanging out with my mum, I can't wait to plan our next trip.

Have you visited any of the restaurants/exhibitions I visited, what did you think? Let me know in the comments and if there are any places in London I should visit next.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Sometimes it's easy to forget to smile and enjoy the great things around us, so in this post I wanted to let you all know the 10 things that have made me smile this week, and to be honest who doesn't like to smile?!

1. Laying in the beautiful English sunshine.

2. My mum thinking I thought the original Rat Pack were alive and kicking.

3. Loosing another pound (in weight!)

4. Laughing with work friends over nothing in particular.

5. Planning my next trip away.

6. Visiting one of my best friends in York and meeting her little girl.

7. Walking to a Fort!!

8. Flying over England and seeing the patch work quilt of fields we have here....breath taking.

9. Eating a burger even though I'm trying to be good.

10. Making my first purchase in Joules, a beautiful jumper for Autumn.

What's made you smile this week I'd love to know!

Product of the month...July!

Hello My Lovelies

My product for the month of July is my Laura Ashley jar lamp. My sister kindly bought this for me for my birthday. My room was in desperate need of a new lamp and my sister knew that I had my eye on a few from Laura Ashley as they do some amazing lamps.

The jar is made of glass and is actually super light but still a really decent size, there is even a larger one my sister informed me. It comes with a lovely natural coloured shade and surprisingly unique clear cable which is much nicer than a black cord running across my desk.

I've noticed that some people have put items including pencils, sweets etc in their jars but I really love the simplicity and chic look of an empty one. I adore the way it fits in so well with the décor of my room. At £45.00 it's not cheap, but Laura Ashley are always doing such great sales and discount days that you should be able to pick this up much cheaper, so keep an eye on their website!!

Have you bought any home pieces from Laura Ashley I would love to see them so let me know in the comments.

Till next time,
                   Tori.
