Product of the Month...November!

Hello My Lovelies

My favourite product of November is one I've been using since the summer and one I've wanted to share with you for a while. The item is..... bareMinerals Complexion Rescue!

This makeup staple is a creamy gel that I find is easy to apply with both fingers and foundation brush- a pea sized amount covers my whole face and gives a light coverage but can be easily built up to a medium coverage.
During the summer I hated having too much foundation on my face so this was a great in betweener as it feels more like a tinted moisturiser and doesn't feel like you are wearing any makeup at all but still covers any blemishes.
I picked my tube up from feel unique and used one of their many discount codes to get this for a super reasonable £18.00
I had never tried any products from bareMinerals before but this had been such a go to product for many months that I feel I may need to scope out my nearest counter and try out some more!

Have you got any recommendations for me from bareMinerals? Have you tried the Complexion Rescue- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Readers near and far!

Hello My Lovelies

I'm always amazed when I check my statistics for my blog and see that people from all over the world read my blog not just those from my home country of the U.K!

                       (photo taken from Google)

Some of my readers are from countries that I have been very fortunate enough to visit like the United States, Thailand or Spain and other times they are from Australia, Canada and Sweden all of which I would love the opportunity to visit and are more than likely on my very long travel bucket list!

I would love to hear where you are from as you read this where ever in the world you may be (including the U.K). Leave me a comment and tell me what Country, City or maybe you live in a really small town or village some where just like me. You could also leave me a fact or your favourite/hated thing about where you live.

Come and join me on my discovery of the globe!

Till next time,
                  Tori.

I Love...Peachy Passionfruit Review

Hello My Lovelies

I've recently been using the most delightful bath and shower crème and body butter in the scent peachy passion fruit from the amazing brand I Love...

So...Lets start with the packaging, You're probably just like me and a sucker for super cute packaging and this really doesn't disappoint with the bright vibrant colours and heart motifs and the product colour peeping through too!
The size of the products are huge and won't run out in a heartbeat which makes them economical too- no over spending here! The I Love... products look so good in bathroom cabinets and you certainly won't get bored of seeing them in the shower every day.
The shower crème doesn't foam up too much which does it make it a bit runny but a little does go a long way.

The scent of both the shower crème and body butter is a super sweet one that smells like fruit salad sweets and lingered on the skin for some time! If you love fresh, sugary, girly scents then these are the products for you!
The body butter is extremely soft and creamy and sunk into my skin in minutes, I literally can't stand oily feeling skin! What I also love about the body creams are that they make my skin feel really hydrated and the scent of the shower crème is extended by adding the body butter on top.
All of the I Love... items are really affordable, you can pick them up in Superdrug and primark and I think any would make great stocking fillers or even pick up one of their amazing Christmas- I would be chuffed to find these under my tree this festive season!

Have you tried anything from I Love...? What are your favourites- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Empties Number 10

Hello My Lovelies

I'm always surprised at how little items I use up and how long it takes for me to write these posts- but I do have a few bits and also a box of Liz Earle empties on it's way soon!

Co-Lab dry shampoo is now a staple in my beauty cabinet and the only brand I reach for when My hair needs a little zhush! As you all know by now I love to have a can of Impulse in my bag or drawer at work and when I saw this Charli XCX version I grabbed it- I've already repurchased both of these products!

I'm not a huge fan of face wipes but here I am with two empty packets! I love the Superdrug Micellar water ones and have repurchased three packets whilst they are on offer but I don't think I'll be using the Simple ones again as they just a bit to dry.

I was surprised how quickly I used up the Bourjois healthy balance face powder, people rave about it but I thought it was just O.K nothing fabulous about it. I trialled the Ole Henriksen skin care recently and have loved the sheer transformation- when I have some spare cash I will definitely be repurchasing!

Finally one of my favourite brands of deodorants Mitchum- I usually use the spray but I recently picked this up to try as it's better for your skin and the environment and it's great. I won't stop using sprays altogether but this is fab for a bit of a change.

What kind of products have you been using up the most recently and which are your favourites- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Curvy Girl Outfit of the Day 12!

Hello My Lovelies

I recently bought a new jumper and bag and whilst I was out and about in one of my local town I asked my sister to take a few photo's of my monochrome outfit let me know what you think!

My trousers are an M&S bargain picked up in their outlet at Gunwharf Quay for £7.00! My new jumper is from Matalan, I've noticed recently that they have so many great items in both the fashion and home departments and all really affordable.

My boots are a few years old and from Asda, I absolutely adore them and want them to keep going and going for years to come! My scarf is a Primark one bought last month, all of my scarves come from there as they are pretty good quality and won't break the bank.
My leather rucksack is a new addition and picked up from TX Maxx for £35.00, make sure you keep an eye out for my latest what's in my bag to see what I keep in it!
My jacket is one I've had for a few months now and one that you've probably seen me wear in numerous blog posts- but it's my favourite and one I know will need to go away in the wardrobe for winter soon.

My beautiful Buckley Poppy is one I've had and worn without fail for the past five years- people are always drawn to it and ask where I got it from!

What are your favourite items of clothing/accessories of late I would love to know so make sure you share them in the comments with me!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

* Thanks as always goes to my sister for giving up her time to take my photo's- I love them!

Christmas Wish List 2015!

Hello My Lovelies

Christmas is fast approaching so I thought it was about time I did my annual Christmas wish list. If I find even one of these things under the tree this year I would be extremely happy and grateful! I may even treat myself to one of the items when I visit London in December!

Christmas

I would adore a black leather backpack like this one from Whistles it's big enough for all of the essentials but not too big that it would hurt your shoulders.

I've had my eye on these Frends headphones for ages, I absolutely hate the iPhone ear buds as they hurt my ears but I think these ones would be great!

Next up would be any of the Benefit Christmas sets, last year I missed out on them but I want to make it my mission to get at least one this festive season.

The last two items on my wish list are from Charlotte Tilbury, I currently only own one piece from her amazing range and I would love to expand it to include the Magic foundation and the Very Victoria lipstick.

Have you thought about what you might like under the tree this year- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                  Tori.

A weekend away in Salisbury!

Hello My Lovelies

Last month my mum and I decided to take a little trip away from our island to Salisbury- None of us had ever been before and we wanted to explore the Town and Cathedral.
Our first stop was Southampton to do a little bit of shopping including Savers (for all of my discounted toiletries). Then it was off to Salisbury where we headed straight for lunch at Nando's after eating lots of yummy food it was time to head for the Cathedral.
Like a lot of Cathedral's I've visited the vast structure dominates and Salisbury Cathedral has the tallest church spire in the U.K which you can see for miles around! It was a beautiful Autumn day and we thoroughly enjoyed strolling around the grounds. I was a little disappointed to see that on the website the price for entering is free and they suggest you make a donation. How ever on arrival there was a large desk that said entry was £7.50, in hindsight that's actually not very much as they use the money to keep the Cathedral well maintained. What I personally didn't agree with was other people walked in with us and they didn't stop and charge them!! I promptly made a complaint and asked for a refund and then made a contribution to one of the numerous donation boxes around.
I absolutely loved the Autumnal displays they had around the Cathedral and the beautiful water feature.
After we had spent a couple of hours in the Cathedral and looking at the very epic Magna Carta we popped along to a local Home Sense (I wish there was on my isle!)
I took advantage of staying the night at Jury's Inn in Southampton after I won a competition on Twitter.

The room I was allocated was on the 10th floor so had a view across Southampton. The room was pretty large for a U.K hotel and was clean and had a decent size T.V so that we could watch the rugby world cup. My room had an iron and ironing board, tea making facilities and complimentary bottles of water and cookies which was a nice touch. Sadly this hotel didn't have a car park so I had to drive ten minutes away and park in a public car park (the hotel gave the wrong post code which was highly annoying!)

On Sunday I had plans to have the hotel breakfast and spend all day shopping in Southampton but I woke up feeling really sick so I had to return to the Isle of Wight-which put a bit of a dampener on the trip. I have how ever said I will pop on a shopping trip to Southampton next weekend so all is not lost.

Have you visited Salisbury before, let me know in the comments!

I absolutely adore the beautiful shiny packaging and the Christmas illustrations.
I don't want to spoil the surprise on what's behind each little door but it's filled with all the amazing quality products you would expect to receive from W7. All of these super stunning make up items will keep you going all the way until next year's advent calendar!

Halloween 2015!

Hello My Lovelies

Saturday was the 31st October commonly known to all as Halloween. This year I was invited along to my friend's 30th birthday Halloween fancy dress party. I'm not a huge fan of fancy dress, I'm not sure why maybe it's because I don't want to look silly or I don't want to spend a fortune but on this occasion I decided to mix some things I already owned with a few new bits and pieces all bought from eBay and Wilko's! I felt really comfortable in my outfit and ended up dancing for hours, eating Halloween inspired food and drinks and we also played glow in the dark bowling!

This week I also made some yummy treats to share with family and friends. Spooky cupcakes and these super delicious pumpkin cookies that my two of my favourite vloggers; Bonnie Hoellein & her sister Ellie Mecham have both made! You can see Ellie make them on her channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emLV9ToLuBo

I hope you all had a fab day! What did you get up to on Halloween, let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

Product of the Month...October!

Hello My Lovelies

Wow we are now officially at the end of October and Christmas is fast approaching! This month my product of the month is a fashion item and comes from Dorothy Perkins in the form of a faux leather jacket.

This month when its not been raining I have grabbed this one from my cupboard over and over again. I've been pairing it with dresses and boots and with trousers and trainers and then adding a scarf for warmth. I haven't had a leather jacket since I was a teenager as I've not thought they fit my curvy body, but with this one it comes in at the waist to give shape and also has nice stretchy panels on the arms

This jacket was a bit pricey at £45.00 but I think the amount of wear I've had even out of it this month has been worth it.
You can't actually get this exact one on their website but they have some that are very similar.

I'm going to be really sad when it becomes to cold and it has to go back in the cupboard till the spring.

What are your favourite products/items of October- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                  Tori.
