Product of the Month...January 2016

Hello My Lovelies

I feel January has flown by and we have well and truly started 2016!
My favourite product for this month is a fashion item from Sainsbury's and one that has kept me super warm throughout the colder days we've experienced recently.

I picked this jumper up just before Christmas when they had a 25% off of clothes which meant I paid roughly £14.00. I absolutely love the little foxes that cover this whole jumper- I feel it looks a lot more expensive then it actually is and one that you could find in Joules or a similar shop.
The colour is perfect to match with jeans and converse and has a wonderful soft almost fleecy material inside- I have worn a vest top underneath but only because I feel the cold.

If you can still pick this jumper up in store for the same price or even on sale then you have to add it your winter wardrobe!

Till next time,

Disappointing Product Number 3- St.Tropez Gradual Tan Shower

Hello My Lovelies

I'm not a huge fan of self tanning I think I've tried it a few times in my whole life time. Firstly I have super pale skin and I'm always nervous that it will be too dark for me or it will be patchy. So last year when I saw that St.Tropez were launching a product that was easy to use I grabbed one of the shelf at my local Boots.

The St. Tropez gradual tan is one that you use in the shower so I decided to try it on my legs in case it went terribly wrong. There's no mits involved in using this product as you add it to your skin like a shower wash which pleased me greatly- a quick shower add the product wait ten minutes which is when I would usually put a hair mask on to waste a bit of time, but it felt like a life time.
Once the three minutes was up I washed the product off and dried as usual- I was expecting the tan to take to my skin quite quickly but instead it didn't do anything, I hear you all shouting but its a gradual tan so don't expect miracles but I do have super fair skin and I did want to see some change! So the next time I used it I added a bit more and waited exactly the full three minutes before washing it off and again NOTHING!
For a product that is quite pricey I'm disappointed that it didn't achieve any sort of result, it's now currently sitting in my shower half used and I refuse to throw it away so I may well have to try again until I can pop it an empties post!

Have you used St.Tropez gradual tan, what do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

Cetaphil- First impressions!

Hello My Lovelies

I bought this a few months ago and it's just been sitting in my stash drawer waiting to be used. I decided to have a little break from my holy grail cleanser Liz Earle and give Cetaphil ago and see if it measures up!
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a creamy gentle cleanser brilliant for those whose skin is sensitive to most other products. When I used it for the first time it was so easy to use a quick pump from the large bottle all over my dry face and then then rinsed it all off using my trusty muslin cloth.

My skin felt really soft after using Cetaphil I'm not sure it took every little piece of makeup off, though it did work well on my eye makeup so a double cleanse would be needed for squeaky clean skin. I was a little dissapointed in how runny the consistancy is, so product could be lost if I wasn't being careful.

I do like that it's made for problematic and sensitive skin so this is a huge plus in my books as I can suffer from sensitive yet oily skin. I think this cleanser would work wonders on those with constant break outs. Another positive for me is that this cleanser is scent free (as you all know I'm not a fan of scented/fragranced products) and didn't leave my skin tight after use.

Would I give up my Liz Earle for Cetaphil is the question... and I have to say whilst it does a pretty good job it's not quite on the same level as my cleanse and polish so unfortunately it won't be a repurchase.

What cleansers have you been using recently- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

1st Wish List of 2016!

Hello My Lovelies

This is my first wish list of 2016- I find that most years I only write two, one at the beginning of the year and one relatively near to the end for Christmas. So here is my latest wish list- if I'm honest I probably won't be purchasing any of these items this year as they are pretty pricey but I can dream or win the lottery!
wish

I've wanted a Mulberry passport cover for years and I was almost tempted to buy one in the Christmas sales but I restrained as I had just bought myself a Monica Vinader bracelet.

I've spotted a Bumble & Bumble surf spray set in my local Boots, having never used any of their products I'm tempted to pick it up come pay day.

The Dior So Real sunglasses are just beautiful and I would love to own, but as
you are all aware I have to wear prescription glasses so its a bit tricky to pick up 'fashion' frames like these.

Adidas Superstar trainers remind me so much of a pair I had when I was a teenager so it would be great to own a pair and which would transport me back to my youth.

Finally a Chanel credit card holder- I definitely do not need one of these after receiving a gorgeous Mulberry one for Christmas but I just adore it and the brand- it would also be my first and probably last Chanel purchase ever!

What's on your wish list for 2016- make sure you share them with me in the comments!

Till next time,

Sales Bargains 2016!

Hello My Lovelies

Every year I love to do a bit of January sales shopping- I usually end up looking online on Christmas Eve and then hit the shops after Christmas. This year I picked up a few bits nothing major like I have in the past but still a few lovely finds and ones that I wanted you all to see!

Monica Vinader Fiji Bracelet-

I've had my eye on this range of bracelets for about 6 months so when I received an email saying their sale had started I took a look and saw they had the rose gold version for £85 instead of £125! I'm so happy with it and I think it looks fab along side the beautiful gold bracelet I received from my parents for Christmas.

Yankee Candle and car smelly-
I bought this pack of three car smellies for me, my sister and mum and I know they will appreciate them. I also picked up a small mandarin cranberry candle to go in my new candle holder I got for Christmas.

Clarins Perfect Lips Set-
I didn't know this set existed till the sales are in full force and it was sold out every where but I got lucky when I spotted the last one in my local Boots! It cost £8.88 and comes with two of their iconic lip perfectors (mini sized) which I can't wait to try.

Yankee Candle Christmas set-
I saw this set in Clintons and at half price (£5.00) I grabbed one to put away for next Christmas.

Body Shop frosted plum body wash and Japanese cherry blossom body mist-
I decided to stock up on the frosted plum body wash as I have loved this Christmas scent- so I now have three to keep me going for the next couple of months. I also picked up one of the body mists- I'm a big fan of all of these I especially love the Japanese cherry blossom after my friend bought it for me last Christmas.

What did you pick up in the sales- let me know in the comments!

Liz Earle Superskin Trio First Impressions!

Hello My Lovelies

For the past month or so I've been using a trio of Liz Earle skin care products; the Superskin Body Cream body lotion, the Superskin moisturiser and Superskin concentrate for night. All of these Products are made for those with very dry skin and as I've spoken of before here on my blog my skin suffers dramatically in the Winter months and not many products have worked so I was excited to give these ago as Liz Earle has some of my most favourite skin care products and I was interested to see how my skin took to them.

Firstly the Superskin body cream is a beautiful super rich cream that has 25% plant oils, East African Shea butter which I adore, cranberry seed oil, pomegranate extract, organic rosehip oil and neroli that gives it the scent of a wonderful spa! I've been massaging this all over my body twice a day and my skin has never felt so soft also it's helped my itchy skin. This product costs £33.09 for 200ml which for me is pretty steep but worth it if it's going to help my dry skin.

Next up the Superskin concentrate- I'm not going to lie I was a little nervous about adding an oil to my already super oily skin and that it might cause me to have a breakout but I found it to be very hydrating without causing my skin to have any reactions. One small pump of this product is enough to cover your whole face and sinks in extremely quickly so there's no transferring of the oil to bed sheets. A 28ml bottle costs £42.75

Finally the Superskin moisturiser priced at £39.00 for a 50ml jar is my favourite product of the three- a fragrance free rich cream that can help to prevent moisture loss and improves skin elasticity. Because the cream is so thick you again only need a small amount unless your skin is super parched. I'm definitely going to repurchase this moisturiser when my current one is finished and could well end up being my holy grail product!

Have you tried any of these products before? What are your favourite Liz Earle products- make sure you share them with me in the comments.

Face of the Day- New Year Edition!

Hello My Lovelies and a Happy New Year to you all!

I absolutely loved my makeup look on New Years Eve, so here are the products that I used for your perusal!

For my primer I'm currently trialling the Smashbox pore minimiser, I then added Nars creamy concealer and sheer glow foundation. These products combined created a really smooth flawless base and one that kept the oily skin at bay.
I then added powder from Hourglass and bronzer from my Benefit palette along with Coralista blush. I'm absolutely loving the palette and trying out some of the products I've never used before from the brand.
I have recently purchased the Becca Champagne Pop highlighter and it's so beautiful, it adds a nice finishing touch to any makeup look.

Also new to my collection and one that I can't stop wearing most days is the Burberry eye shadow in Pale Barley, a new No7 mascara that I received for Christmas and my holy grail Anastasia brow wiz!

Finally I used my go to going out lip product from Mac, Girl About Town- this lipstick does not budge which means you don't have to reapply, it's also a lovely pink shade.

I hope you all had a lovely New Year!

Till next time,
                  Tori.
