Curvy Girl Outfit of the Day 18: Halloween 2016 Edition!

Hello My Lovelies

Halloween is such a fun time of the year its a great way to break up the long stretch to Christmas from Summer and I love creating exciting things to share with you all on my blog. This year I picked up the coolest dress and frolicked in the leaves!

My dress was a great find (by my sister) on ebay for £10 and I knew it would be fab to wear out on Halloween evening to the pub without having to actually 'dress up.' I absolutley love the little orange pumpkin and bats on a black swing dress and its so comfortable and warm to wear.

I paired the dress with the comfiest black leggings and camel/sand coloured boots from Dorothy Perkins to complete the outfit. The boots have a small heel for a more dressed up look but are still comfortable enough to wear all night especially if I'm standing.

What are your plans for Halloween? What will you be wearing? Share all as always in the comments below!

New In: EverGlaze Nail Polishes

Hello My Lovelies

I have been sent the most beautiful autumnal nail shades ever and they were too good not to share with you all. The polishes come from EverGlaze an extended nail polish from the much loved China Glaze brand!

If you love China Glaze you're going to love the gel like polishes from EverGlaze which suggests with it's nail polishes that it will bring the wearer strength, stamina and shine of which I have to agree as the polishes are formulated with active plasticizer technology added to help the nail colour from chipping. The nail polishes were really easy to use (I hate short stubby nail polish wands) and they weren't too runny. I used two coats to get the full colour pay out, I then popped a top coat on and they looked shiny without chips for about 5 days.

There are many colours to choose from and I spotted a beautiful orange that I have my eye on for next Summer but these particular darker ones are perfect for this time of the year. A Purple 'Royal Satin' which is my favourite, I do enjoy wearing a dark berry colour. I also had the chance to try a navy called 'Navy Night' a true to life navy blue (which is a hard to colour to find and get right) and finally a grey with flecks of gold running through it called 'French Press' and is the one that I'm going to wear for Halloween.

The best part about the nail polishes from EverGlaze is the quick drying and no need to set with a UV or LED lamp so its super easy to apply from the comfort of your own home. When I removed the polish it was pretty tricky and it had stained so make sure you use a base coat with these powerful babies.

Have you tried any of the polishes from EverGlaze? What are your favourite shades? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Till next time,
                  Tori.

New In: Avon True Color Wide Awake Mascara.

Hello My Lovelies

I'm always trying out in new mascaras and Avon ones are my particular favourites, so when they released this new one which promised a 'wide awake look' I knew I had to try it.

Avon's new True Color Wide awake mascara has an amazing long wand with a tapered tip that twists and turns to give the best curl to my long lashes (I know I know I'm lucky) which I found lasted hours and hours and made my eyes look wide-awake all day.

The black colour covered my lash from root to tip and didn't smudge, run or flake or feel heavy on my lashes. What I love the most about this product is the ease and that I didn't need to use eyelash curlers (I mean who really does?!) and the formula separated and defined each lash leaving me with really natural lashes. Little effort but a great look is a tick in my book!

If you're looking to try a new mascara then this one from Avon costs £8.50 which is pretty competitive of others on the market and comes in three shades black, brown/black and navy at avon.uk.com or your local representative.

Have you tried any this mascara or any from Avon- let me know in the comments!

Product of the Mid Month (October)- Skechers!

Hello My Lovelies

October's (yesssss October how did we get here already?) product of the month is my current favourite addition to my wardrobe. The most comfiest shoes you'll ever walk in they are.... Skechers!

I bought these shoes a couple of months ago for £30 in TK Maxx and its the best £30 I've spent in months. They may look pretty basic, a black slip on with a pink insole but these shoes have been saving my feet from the day I put them on! The pink insole isn't just pink its memory foam too, the squdgey inside molds to my feet and keeps them in pure comfort all day.

I tend to have problems with my feet hurting in certain shoes (I have wide feet) and I long for the end of the day and taking them off. With these from Skechers I'm more than happy to keep wearing them for hours and hours.

I had been keeping my eye out for a pair of Skechers for a while (they are really hard to find even online) and even looked in Las Vegas earlier this year, so when I saw these all black ones I knew they would be perfect for work. I also love the fact that these shoes don't have a huge logo across them but just a very subtle silver 'S' on the back.

If you spot these in your local shop I urge you to try them on, I garantee you won't want to put your old shoes back on!

Do you own any Skechers? What do you think of them? Share all your thoughts with me in the comments!

Till next time,

Book Haul 2- Holiday Edition!

Hello My Lovelies

I'm off on holiday next week so I popped to my local Tesco to stock up on books as they are two for £7.00 (utter bargain) as I love to binge read by the pool- here are my choices for a week in the sun.

First up is 'Silence is Goldfish' by Annabel Pitcher all about a teenage girl who learns lots about her life through her dad's blog and the knock on effects which lead to her being mute.

Next up is Michael Morpurgo's 'An Eagle in the Snow', since seeing him read from this book almost a year ago I literally can't wait to get stuck into this book. Michael is a phenomenal author and whilst this book is primarily written for children/young adults his writing is perfect for all ages!

Finally is 'The Trouble with Henry and Zoe' by Andy Jones and is going to be my chick lit; let it wash over you, don't think too hard book. Following the characters of Henry and Zoe and how their worlds collide!

I literally can't wait to get away and just chill! Have you bought any books recently? Have you got any holidays booked? Make sure you share all with me in the comments!

Till next time,
                  Tori.

Autumn Skin Saviours!

Hello My Lovelies

Autumn and Winter are the harshest months for my skin- mine can become extremely dry and so I love to have a stash of products ready to use when the change in seasons happen. Read on to find out which are my particular favourites.

First up is a product that I've used for the past couple of years during Winter and one that is multi purpose, Paw Paw from Papaya Gold is a fab little product- I love to use this as an alternative to Vaseline for my lips but then also pop it on my elbows and knees.

I went to Las Vegas earlier this year and picked up lots of the Sephora face masks they are great at adding much needed moisture back into the face and they smell divine. I can't wait to make a huge order before the end of the year.

Fade Out eye defence cream is a brilliant all year round staple as it contains SPF 25 and which I think is a must for fair skinned people like me even in Autumn. Fade out also reduces the appearance of dark circles and wrinkles and brightens dark eye circles! Look out for my review coming soon.

A new favourite in my skin care is from Nivea. I've been using the Q10 pore refining day cream for a good few months now and I have no intention in changing my moisturiser again. A rich cream that doesn't block my pores and keeps my skin looking really fresh and glowing are the advantages of this cream. I've also found that a little goes a long way and I'm literally only just about to start my second pot.

Finally I've used Clearasil spot treatments for as long as I can remember. When ever a breakout occurs I add a thin layer to each just before bed and when I wake up there is huge improvement- I tend to keep doing this each night until the spot/s have dried up.

What are your must have Autumn skin saviours? Let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

Tanya Burr Christmas: Pretty Unstoppable Palette!

Hello My Lovelies

I've been trying and trying to get my little mits on the Tanya Burr 'Martha Moo' matte lipsticks for months and have failed- (I even contacted the brand and those that sell it.) I was then having a look through the Superdrug Christmas products and noticed that Tanya had released the 'pretty unstoppable' palette that including low and behold Martha Moo!

The palette comes in a sturdy cardboard box with a pretty polka dot and Tanya Burr logo ribbon printed across it. Once inside you'll find four really usable eyeshadow shades, a blush and highlighter. As I was most excited about getting to try the lipgloss I wasn't too interested in the other bits but after one use I'm hooked!

My favourite colour eyeshadow has to be toasted 'tea cake' a light brown that I love to put all over my lid and I use 'vanilla sugar' as a base and in the crease. 'Hot chocolate and cream' I feel I will get the most use out of on a night out and 'cocoa dust' is perfect for those that love a sultry smoky eye.

I was a little nervous about using the blush but I was pleasantly surprised and is proably my stand out product in this palette- if lightly applied as its super pigmented and then blended enough then this looks amazing and perfect for an autumnal look! Finally is the highlighter 'champagne shimmer' which is subtle enough to be worn everyday and which I do love to pare with 'first kiss'

Finally lets go back to that coveted lipgloss in 'martha moo' I'm not going to lie I'm really disappointed, I literally couldn't wait to have it in my collection but it was horribly drying and cracked once applied. I tried exfoliating my lips and adding a lipgloss and vaseline but it just wasn't what I was expecting and really let the whole palette down. Martha moo is a beautiful colour so if Tanya was to release this in a lipstick in the future I wouldn't be put off trying it out.

Priced at £9.00 from Superdrug it's a an affordable palette for those wanting to try Tanya's range or for those just starting to get into makeup.

Have you tried anything from Tanya's makeup collections? What products from her are your favourites? As always make sure you share them with me below in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.
