Isle of Wight Festival 2017!

Hello My Lovelies

A couple of Sundays a go I spent the day at the Isle of Wight Festival- I've not been since 2010 due to the line-up not being all that amazing and the cost. This year they were selling tickets for £45 so it was a bit silly not to go and enjoy a festival that's on my own doorstep!

We started the day off by walking around the site and checking out all of the stalls, watching the crazy festival goers on all of the fun fair rides and stopping for an ice lolly as it was so hot.

We then made our way along to the main stage to watch the Vamps, pure pop cheesiness but fun none the less. My favourite band of the day and one of the main reasons for going along was to see the Shires- a U.K country duo, I've seen them twice before so it was fab to see them shining at a festival on my island!
We then grabbed some food before listening to Imelda May, George Esra and then having a dance and sing-along with Bastille who are just great live!

We actually left before Rod Stewart took to the stage as headliner as once the sun went down it became bitterly cold and I'm not a huge fan of the cold or Rod!

It was a great day out and one I would replicate next year if the price of tickets remained the same. Have you been to a festival yet this year? Have you ever been to the Isle of Wight festival? Let me know your thoughts in the comments or over on twitter @steaders83.

Till next time,

Curvy Girl OOTD 24!

Hello My Lovelies

With the wonderful weather we've been experiencing here in the U.K it seemed silly to not get out and discover parts of my Island and obviously I couldn't resist getting a few shots even with my lily white legs out on show for the first time this year!

First stop whilst pootling along in the car I spotted this cool graffiti on the side of a house that I had to stop and have a quick pose. The dress I'm wearing is from Peacocks a couple of years ago-it's so light weight and just right for a warm day.

Next it was along to an old house, they had just had a wedding there the night before so it was lovely to see it all set up for an event. My denim jacket is a charity shop find for £3 and my sandals are my old faithful's from last summer that I picked up in Marks and Spencer and are probably the most comfortable shoes I wear when its hot.

Last stop was to the beach for ice cream and a walk along the seafront. My bag is my go to from Gucci and sunglasses are Rayban Erika's.

How did you spend the weekend? Let me know in the comments or on twitter @steaders83.

Till next time,

A day at Chelsea Flower Show!

Hello My Lovelies

A couple of weeks ago I went to my first ever Chelsea Flower Show after years of admiring on TV and social media. I went along with family members who all decided they would like to go on the last day of the show as this is when many of the plants are sold- my mum who is an avid gardener really wanted to the opportunity to buy some flowers.
*Apologies in advance for all of the photographs but they are just too pretty not to share!

As we were getting to London so early and spending all day looking around the gardens I booked us in to have breakfast at Bronte where I had been last Christmas and really enjoyed.
It was then time to hop on the tube and take a walk along the Kings Road (literally my favourite place in all of London!) it was a really short walk to the entrance & then it became apparent how big and busy the event really is!

If I counted them correctly I believe that there was eight show gardens; I actually expected more and for them to be all in one area, or that it would be really obvious but I found it really tricky to navigate and also to have a proper look at each one due to the sheer volume of visitors.

The artisan exhibitors were pretty amazing you could really see how much time, care and love they had given to each of their displays.

I found the amount of sellers a bit much if I'm being honest- I felt it was more about selling you stuff then actually about all of the pretty gardens you see on the TV and what I actually expected from the show. It was a real experience to go to the Chelsea Flower Show but on reflection I wish we had bought tickets for the members only day where I expect it would of been more chilled.

Have you ever been to the Chelsea Flower Show before? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

New In: Festival Essentials with Compeed!

Hello My Lovelies

Festival season and summer sandal weather is almost upon us and we all know how much walking we can do during that time! So the amazing products from Compeed have arrived just in time for my visit to the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend!

I have never tried any products from Compeed before but after a weekend of walking around in new sandals I've already given the blister plasters a go. The plasters are clear which is great when you have strappy shoes on and don't want a big ugly normal plaster on your ankles so are super discreet they also protect from rubbing thanks to the advanced plaster profile. I find that when I wear just a plaster it will fall off within a couple of hours but with Compeed they stay on average for 12 hours or longer-which is perfect for hours upon hours on a festival site.

In the Holly Fulton designed pack are five plasters and come in a handy plastic case small enough for handbags and over night bags. They cost £4.99 and if you're lucky you can pick them up on offer from Boots and Superdrug.

The cracked heel over night cream has been preparing my feet for all of the walking I'll be doing this weekend. I added a layer of the cream just before bed and then added cotton socks to protect them and found that my heels were much smoother the following morning. The cream contains a unique blend of Urea and Lactic Acid and intensively moisturises to improve the appearance of cracked heels while you sleep, which is exactly what it did.
I know that the heel cream is going to be a life saver come Sunday night and I'm home from being on my feet all weekend.

Are you off to any festivals this year? Will you have Compeed in your bag for emergencies? Let me know in the comments or pop along and check out my Instagram at @wonderfulworldblog.

Till next time,

New In: Mandara Spa-Oriental Retreat!

Hello My Lovelies

The lovely lot over at Mandara Spa sent me some gorgeous products from their new range Oriental Retreat- I love all of the products from the brand so I'm always really excited when a new scent arrives.

My stand out products are the Bath Milk and Bath Soap Petals as I do love relaxing in a bath a couple of times a week and both of these products are an utter treat to use in a hot bath at the end of a long day. The scent is cedarwood and sweet orange with orange being one of my most favourite fragrances in bath and shower items. It's a perfect blend of woody and citrus notes which is perfect for this time of year as we begin to hit the summer months.

Both the bath milk and bath soap petals are infused with conditioning starflower oil, indulgent Oriental orchid extract, moisturising sweet almond oil and fragrant cedarwood oil, sweet orange and cumin which leaves my skin feeling beautifully soft and moisturised. The entire collection is free from parabens, microbeads, mineral oils, SLES and SLS.

This range is so affordable yet the packaging screams luxury, they make the best presents for family and friends. You can pick up the whole range plus more from Sainsbury's with bath milk costing £7 and the bath soap petals £4 which is an utter bargain for a pamper evening this Summer!

Have you tried anything from Mandara Spa? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
