A couple of weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and dye my hair for the very first time! So I didn't go all the way and do my whole head, however I did dye the ends bright purple and I love it! I work in education and that means I'm currently on a six week holiday,whoop! I thought with all the time I would have to wash it out if it went wrong, that now was a great time to experiment. I decided to use the Schwarzkopf Live Colour or as the box says "color" in Purple Punk. Schwarzkopf have some other crazy colours I would love to try like the electric blue but this time I stuck with the purple.
I roped in my mum to give me a hand, and after watching some YouTube video's I found the best way to apply was to part my hair into sections, add the colour and then wrap it in foil. I left it on the ends of my hair for the suggested 20 minutes and then got my mum to wash my head over the bath. I have to say I am super happy with results and can't wait for the Christmas holidays and the chance to do it all over again!

It's so exciting dying your hair! Yours looks fab! I've dyed mine a candyfloss pink before and most recently a shockingly bright pink! Hi Frances, I tried to dye my hair candy floss pink before I dyed it the purple/pink but it didn't take as my hair is too dark! I'll check out your hair colour ASAP. Thanks for leaving a comment!

Your hair looks amazing!! I literally just got my curly hair dip dyed with purple, but went on a ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach which I think soaked my hair and made it green... oops! Think I may have to invest in the colour your using here to re-dye my hair once the semi-permanent stuff comes out - thanks for posting this!

This looks lovely! And it's a great way to test out new colours if you don't want to do your whole head. I've had so many different colours. Bright blue hair was definitely a favourite! :) I've also had purple, pink, red and white blonde. :)

Your hair looks amazing! I've toyed with dying my hair a shade of copper for the last few years (all my cousins have gingery-red hair and I have the skin tone but am an oddity with dark brown hair). Just need to get round to actually doing it! :-) x
