Happy Halloween!

Hello My Lovelies,

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

I never used to be a big fan of Halloween, but last year I was lucky enough to spend it with my sister in Oxford and we went to a pumpkin patch and I carved my first pumpkin. This year with the help of my fab dad I've been growing mini white pumpkins, which as far as I'm aware you can't get in this country (or not easily!) and I also picked up some small orange ones.

I've also these past few months started to love baking and so I made these yummy cupcakes with orange icing and scary toppers!

This year we also popped to a local farm shop and they were selling Island pumpkins and such a pretty display inside too!

Did you get a pumpkin or go to a Halloween party- let me know in the comments!!

Till next time,
                    Tori.

Product of the Month-October!

Hello My Lovelies,

I love this time of the year it's the count down to Christmas with Halloween and Bonfire Night in between!

My product for October is my first ever Whistles purchase...a green leather clutch!

I've been looking at Whistles clutches for a really long time, and then earlier this year I saw this dark green one on sale (on their website) for £20, yes £20 that's a huge saving!

It's a gorgeous dark almost racing green with the gold Whistles lettering at the bottom, the leather is soft but strong enough that it won't scratch  and looks fab with monochrome outfits. It also has a gold zip with Whistles also on the puller which is a nice touch. The size of this clutch is medium, I can fit inside my phone, cards and cash, car keys, lipstick/Vaseline and a few other essentials which in my opinion makes it the perfect colour and style for this autumn/ winter nights out!

I literally can't wait for an excuse to take it out again soon and I may well have to buy a little card older to go inside!

Do you own any Whistles clutches, let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

L'Oreal Eyeshadow Review

Hello My Lovelies,

I've had this gorgeous L'Oreal eyeshadow for over a month now and it's a colour I keep using most days, so I knew it was a shade that I had to share with you all.

This is the first ever L'oreal eyeshadow that I have ever bought and tried before- I've only ever had mascara from L'oreal so when I was in Boots and I had swatched it I knew I had to give it a go!

The colour name is Opalescent (number 600) and comes from the Color Riche range, they have a couple of other colours in the collection that are all darker but this one looked my kind of tone- especially as I don't think deep colours look too great on my eyes.
This eyeshadow works best using a finger to apply, on a brush you just don't get the full effect of the shimmer and the pigmentation can be a bit wishy washy. Also using a finger means that the eyeshadow doesn't crumble which happens when I used a brush.
The longevity of this eyeshadow is great too and can last at least 5 to 6 hours which for a drugstore isn't too shabby.

The L'Oreal eyeshadow retails for £4.99 and is a light but beautiful colour & definatley a range that I will be checking out again next time I'm in Boots.

Do you own any of these eye shadows, let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Dr Paw Paw Review

Hello My Lovelies,

Back in July I wrote a blog post all about Papaya Gold Paw Paw balm and I inadvertently tagged Dr Paw Paw on twitter asking them to read my post- they kindly let me know that I had mixed the two companies up and asked if I wanted to review their version too... Well I didn't need to be asked twice as I love paw paw balms!

There are not many major differences between the two other than Papaya Gold is the Australian version and Dr Paw Paw is the UK version. The other difference is the packaging, Papaya Gold comes in a red tube with black writing and Dr Paw Paw comes in a light yellow packaging.

Now for the product: There aren't any differences between the consistency of the Dr Paw Paw and the Papaya Gold that I can see or feel, the Dr Paw Paw is just as lovely, a light serum very close to the feel of Vaseline and can be used on lips, cuticles and nails. I will definitely be using this all winter on my lips, to keep them smooth and chap free.

The price point is £6.95 and with Dr Paw Paw you get 25ml of product, which is a little more than the Papaya Gold but still a decent affordable price.

Given a choice between the Papaya Gold and Dr Paw Paw I would always repurchase the Dr Paw Paw as it's British brand and I personally like to support local and national brands where ever possible.
I can't wait to get my hands on the new tinted Dr Paw Paw as that looks just as fab!

Have you tried Dr Paw Paw-let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

W7 Halloween Makeup!

Hello My Lovelies,

The beautiful lot at W7 sent me some Halloween coloured inspired makeup to try and I thought it could be useful to any of you that might be going to a Halloween party in the next few weeks! Here are my picks for Halloween glamour...

I received two nail polishes one called Orange Sorbet, a vibrant pumpkin orange colour and super glitzy when I added some of the W7 cosmic nail dust which has little orange and black glitter particles in it!

The second nail polish is called Starry Nights and is a black base with silver, black and pinky/purple glitter- it looks almost holographic and perfect for this season.

I then chose to use the W7 Butter Kiss Lipstick in Racing Red to go with my Starry Nights nail polish.

The combination of the two would make a wicked impact and the one I'll be wearing when I hit the town this October 31st!

Are you going to any Halloween fancy dress parties let me know in the comments, also are you tempted to pick up any of these W7 makeup bits?

Till next time,
                   Tori.
                        X

*The products used in this review were kindly sent to me by W7, as always my thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

My Top High End Lipsticks!

Hello My Lovelies,

This past year I've been become a bit of a fan of high end lipsticks, when there's an offer on at Debenhams or I've saved enough points on my Boots points card I buy the colour I've been lusting over the most. I thought I would share with you my favourite high end lipsticks and the one I've got my eye on next!

First up: My first ever high end lipstick. YSL Rouge Volupte in the colour
Provocative Pink.
I chose this one as I have to admit I was attracted to the packaging, after looking through all the colours I chose a bright pink one that's great for nights out or can be blotted for everyday use.

Next Chanel Rouge Allure in Etonnante.
A beautiful coral colour bought with my Boots points earlier in the summer of this year. I think it looks great with my skin tone, especially in the summer when I have a slight tan.

and finally... Mac in the colour Chatterbox.
Its my favourite pink tone and probably my favourite Mac lipstick and one that I could easily wear every day without fail. It's not too bright and really close to my natural lip colour.

These are just three of my favourites, my collection has grown quite a bit this year, so maybe I will write another post with more soon...I also think I might want to purchase another Chanel one soon or maybe a Tom Ford lipstick (swoon!!) What are your most treasured lipsticks-let me know in the comments as I love a good recommendation.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Autumn Makeup Look!

Hello My Lovelies,

Last Saturday I decided I wanted to use my new Mac eye shadow & lipstick and it was a perfect excuse to show you my autumn makeup look...I am an utter novice at makeup application but I loved all the bits and pieces I used to create this simple but effective look.

I started with my favourite concealer and foundation the Maybelline instant anti-age and Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet when ever I use these two together I'm always really pleased at how flawless my base looks!

I then added my ultimate holy grail product the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in the colour Dim Light and The Body Shop Honey Bronzing powder- both are such lovely light powders that there isn't a chance of getting that cakey look!

Next up I used the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Dim Infusion and Kevin Aucoin Celestial Highlighter in Candle Light.

Now for the eyes! I used my brand new Mac eye shadow (that I've been wanting for agesss!) in the colour Woodwinked (bottom left colour in the palette) it's a gorgeous bronze and perfect this time of year, and also added a slight touch of the L'Oreal eye shadow in Opalescent.

then used a newish product that you may have seen in my haul post; the Anastasia Brow Wiz, which is totally worth all the hype and Clinique High Impact Mascara.

To finish I used my new Mac lipstick which I am absolutely adoring in the colour Velvet Teddy a 90's brown and very Kylie Jenner! I think this Mac lipstick will be on my lips all this Autumn.

                    The finished look!

What do you think of my Autumn makeup picks? Do you have recommendations for me, let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

Food Festival!

Hello My Lovelies,

A couple of weekends ago I went to my local park where they were having a food festival and I thought I would share with you some photos of the day.

It was so relaxing to walk around and sample some of the local produce and listen to some bands playing!

My sister grabbed herself a coffee and I couldn't resist some of these sweet treats!

You could feel in the air that summer was coming to an end and it was nice to round up a really fabulous one! Here's to the Autumn....

Hope you've all had a great summer! Let me know what you all got up to in the comments.

Till next time,
