Product of the Month...March 2016

Hello My Lovelies

As you read this I will be enjoying the last few days of my trip to Las Vegas- so whilst I am take a look at my product for the month of March which comes from Adidas!

This month I have not stopped wearing my new trainers from Adidas, the Superstars! I actually used to have a pair of these when I was about sixteen or seventeen and loved them so the fact they are making a come back is amazing and has brought back a lot of memories!

I was lucky enough to get mine with a 20% discount which made them affordable at £54.00, I'm sure when I bought my original pair back in 1999 they were much cheaper. I decided to buy the black and white version as I knew they would go with a lot of the clothes I own. They are beyond comfy and great for wearing all day which is fab when you're out and about and on our feet all day!

Have you picked up a pair of these 'trendy' trainers- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Skin Care Overhaul!

Hello My Lovelies

My skin has totally changed in the last four to six months, its gone from quite sensitive with dry areas to super oily- the only reason I can think is maybe my skin has started to change due to age (I'm not in my 20's anymore!) I've noticed that my skin will become very oily by lunch time and I was having to blot and powder. With this in mind I knew I needed to make some changes to my skin care routine and so I began to research brands that might be able to help me combat the shine.

It was actually much trickier than I imagined to find any reviews or advice on products but after quite some research I found a selection of products from Neutrogena that looked like they might work. So I popped to Boots and found they were on offer and picked up the face wash, face scrub and moisturiser in the Visibly Clear pink grapefruit range.

I started using the products at the same time, using the face wash once a day in the morning along with the moisturiser (twice a day) and then the face scrub once a week and I noticed a difference within a couple of days. My skin wasn't as oily by lunch to the point I didn't have to use a powder or blotting paper half as much and I felt a lot less stressed out by the way my skin was looking.

I'm no pro regarding skin care and whilst I'm happy with the products I'm currently using I'm always on the look out for recommendations that might help my skin so feel free to leave them in the comments.
I think next time I pop to Boots I might pick up the wipes and give them ago too!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Spring/Summer 2016 Fashion Wish List feat Jones Bootmaker!

Hello My Lovelies

Spring is definitely in the air and before we know it, it will be time for Summer (fingers crossed we have one this year!) and I love to be prepared for the beautiful weather that is sure to come along!

I've seen some really lovely bits already starting to fill the shops and online and I've already picked up a few items, but for now these ones are still on my wish list- check out what I've got my eye on.

The dress that's on my mind is a floral pinafore from Dorothy Perkins this style has been really popular this past winter and one I think will continue into the Summer. I love this raspberry coloured cardigan also from Dorothy Perkins which will give the look a pop of colour.

I absolutely adore these sandals from Jones Bootmaker and they come in half sizes which makes me super happy as I'm always between two sizes (https://www.jonesbootmaker.com/ladies/sandals) they also look really comfortable and a little bit of bling will take me from day to night!

I also want to pick up this black clutch from H&M its really affordable and matches well with the other items I'm hoping to purchase in the coming months.

What Spring/Summer clothes have caught your attention whilst browsing the shops or whilst you've been doing some online browsing- let me know in the comments.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

New In: Rosie for Autograph Eye Shadow Quad!

Hello My Lovelies

When this eye shadow quad arrived I literally squealed with excitement and then I let out a screech when I saw just how beautiful the packaging is for the gorgeous make up range from Rosie Huntington Whiteley for Autograph at Marks & Spencer. The shiny rose gold packaging is to die for but not only that it's amazing quality too, the shape reminds me of Nars casing but in a much much prettier box!

The four colours are perfect for creating a stunning day to night look with three neutrals that have the slightest shimmer and a brown which could be used for a smokey eye, this palette has it all! This particular quad is called 'I feel like a million dollars' and you can also pick up three other stunning quads in the range, it's going to be hard for me not to visit my local Marks and Spencer for them all.

At £18.00 it's a steal for the pigmentation and longevity of these shades which are creamy smooth and so easy to blend.
After using this for the past couple of weeks I feel I might not be able to cope not having it in my make up bag for Las Vegas so I might just well have to sneak it in!
The range from Rosie is pretty extensive and includes cream blushes, bronzer, gel eyeliner, lipsticks and so much more that there is a make up piece for pretty much everybody.
Keep your eyes peeled as there will more from Rosie for Autograph very soon on my blog!

Have you bought any pieces from the line yet- let me know in the comments. Don't forget to check out my new blog only Instagram wonderfulworldblog for more beauty content!!

Till next time,

What's in my Vegas Carry On Beauty Bag?

Hello My Lovelies

I'm off to Las Vegas!!! I have some fab things planned for whilst I'm there and I've just started to prep my carry on bag for the trip. No carry on bag would be complete without a makeup/beauty bag so here's what I've got in mine...

Firstly I bought this small clear make up bag from Savers and it was a bargain at £1.99 I also picked up these face wipes which are a must for keeping cool and removing make up as soon as I enter the aeroplane. I've also added some Liz Earle moisturiser as skin can dry out quickly flying especially on a long haul flight.

I also have my trusty Vaseline (you know I can't go any where without it!). I have also added a travel toothbrush and toothpaste for keeping breath fresh especially just before leaving the flight.
Finally I've added a small rolled ball of the This Works Deep Sleep Stress less rollerball which I love to put on my wrists- it's a lovely lavender scent and can help to keep me calm on the crazy environment of the airport.

What do you take on long haul flights- make sure you share them with me on the comments. Also be sure to follow my new Instagram account just for my blog 'wonderfulworldblog' for photos of my Las Vegas trip.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Disappointing Product Number 4-TRESemme Dry Shampoo.

Hello My Lovelies

Over the past six months or so I've become a bit of a fan of dry shampoos! I've tried numerous brands including Batiste and Colab and when I saw this TRESemme one on offer at Superdrug (Colab was full price) I thought I would give it a go- I'm always looking for a brand that might rival Colab.

Even though one of my previous disappointing products has come from TREsemme I kept an open mind as I love their shampoo and conditioners but this wasn't too last long unfortunately. The can is a decent size for the price but I have to say this is probably the only positive. I shook the can and sprayed said product into my hair and within seconds my hair was greasier then it was before I added the spray. Not only this but it had the consistency of hair spray, so much so that I had to check it wasn't.
I'm not sure if this product just didn't work well with my hair though I would say my hair is normal and not overly oily which is what this exact product was made for. Would I want to try any more products from TRESemme after the last two disasters most probably not!

Have you had any issues with TRESemme products- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

New In: Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick 3D Volume Lip Shine!

Hello My Lovelies

Soap & Glory has to be one of my favourite brands from their body washes, hello who can beat the scent of Sugar Crush and moisturisers to their one heck of a blot face powder so when I was sent their brand new Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick 3D Volume Lip Shine I couldn't wait to pop it on my lips.

An awesome pink base colour with ultimate shine is what you will find when you apply this product. It's not sticky at all (which is great news for me) and is super hydrating, lasting power isn't the greatest but I'm not going to complain about having to reapply after eating.

The Gloss Sticks come in seven stunning shades, the one I have is called 'Pinkaboo' and the price point is pretty fabulous too at only £3.50 which makes me want pretty much all of them! Whilst I love the tingly feeling you get with the original Mother Pucker's I was super excited that these don't give your lips that bee sting sensation and instead the 'buzz free formula' helps to make my lips look bigger then usual!

This little tube of shine will be a permanent fixture in my bag and one I will grab for to give my lips that pretty pop of colour!

Have you picked up any of the new Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick 3D Volume Lip Shine- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

Vegas Makeup Bag!

Hello My Lovelies

I'm off to Las Vegas very soon- my first ever visit to the city and I'm super excited as I've not been to America in twelve years!! I've decided to bring all of my favourite make up items and ones that I don't have the opportunity to use as much as I do as I know I'm going to be doing a full face of make up most evenings! These are my selected items all stored in my deceptively big 'V' make up bag from Matalan.

For base I'm bringing a mini Mac Prep & Prime, Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer and my trusty Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation!

Also in my make up bag is my Hourglass powder, mini sized Benefit Hoola bronzer and Becca highlighter in Opal (Who doesn't adore mini travel sizes?!) and my Chanel blush which doesn't get used half as much now that I have one of the Benefit Christmas blush sets.

I've also thrown in a By Terry Blackstar eye shadow that I don't use all that much but want to try and use during my visit. Another eye shadow coming with me to Las Vegas is the Burberry Pale Barley which is a new addition and a mini No7 Intense Volume mascara along with my favourite brow product Anastasia Brow Wiz.

Finally I've had to really hold back on how many lip products I bring and so have chosen Mac Girl About Town as its my go to night out colour. Chanel lipstick for every day use and my favourite lip stick of the moment wood rose from Clarins which I got in a gift set in the January sales ( I think I will be buying a full size of this as I go through Duty Free.)

Have you got any holidays booked for this year, what will be in your make up bag- let me know in the comments or on Twitter @steaders83. Also do you have recommendations for me for when I visit Sephora?

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Curvy Girl Outfit of the Day- Charity Shop Edition!

Hello My Lovelies

I work for a charity and we currently have 10 shops that sell donated stock- recently I've been popping into the one closest to me which just so happens to be at our head office and picking up some utter bargains. This outfit isn't in its entirety bought from the charity shop but the two main pieces (well I what think are the main pieces) are and I wanted you to see that you can actually purchase some pretty decent stuff in charity shops if you have the time to rummage!

As soon as I saw the dress I knew it had to be mine, I'm a bit of a fan of wrap dresses as they really flatter my curvy shape. I also let out a little yelp when I saw that this dress only cost £3.00 and is in perfect condition and is from Phase Eight and so I knew it was going to be a well made, good quality dress. I was a little nervous about the dark grey shade as I usually go for black but I'm so glad I came out of my comfort zone and tried a new colour.

I've paired the dress with black leggings and my gorgeous sale bargain shoes from Clarks and then to finish the outfit I added my second charity shop find a vibrant red bag which just adds a lovely pop of colour to the finished look. What I love about the dress in particular is that it can be worn as seen for a day look or dressed up with heels for a special occasion.

Have you checked out any charity shops recently, did you find any great buys? Let me know in the comments your thoughts!

Till next time,
                     Tori.
