Product of the Month...September!

Hello My Lovelies

For the past few years I've had plenty of hair brushes in my collection and each and everyone of them have just been a bit meh! I brush my hair at least once to twice a day like most of us do and too use a brush that is a meh isn't good enough in my opinion, you wouldn't use a rubbish toothbrush or bad moisturiser so why a mediocre hair brush?

If like me you've been trying different brands of brushes and not one you've wanted to repurchase then you need to grab yourself a Wet Brush! This is the USA's favourite detangling brush and I can see why. Soft bristles that don't tug at my naturally curly hair and glides through with ease to the point you don't even think you've brushed your hair or that you've some how missed it.

You can pick the Wet Brush up in lots of different colours including a glow in the dark one and mini for your handbag. I bought mine in TK Maxx for £6.99 after missing out the first time they stocked them but you can also buy them from Look Fantastic, Cult Beauty and Boots will also soon be stocking them so they slowly becoming easier to buy and they retail for £11.99.

What hair brushes have you tried and what are your favourites- let me know in the comments.

Till next time,

Disappointing Product Number 3- TRESemme Sea Foam.

Hello My Lovelies

I've been meaning to try a sea salt spray or mousse for absolutely ages so when I saw this one was being given away with Elle magazine I knew I had to try it.

The product in question is the new TRESemme sample size of the Perfectly Undone sea foam. A very light, thin mousse almost watery in consistency. I tested it out on a few occasions following the instructions to Dispense 2-5 pumps scrunch in and air dry or diffuse and I don't feel it really made much difference.
It's meant to 'create beautiful air-light waves with soft, natural-looking finish. This ultra-light Sea Foam, infused with Sea Kelp Extract, helps create natural-looking waves'.

I'm not sure what I was particularly hoping for with this product, that it might make my naturally curly hair look like I had been on the beach frolicking in the waves and to make me look like a mermaid but it just didn't perform all that well. To say I was a bit disappointed would be the truth, which is a shame but maybe it just didn't respond well to my hair?

You won't be surprised to hear that I won't be purchasing a full size of this product but I will be continuing to buy other products from TRESemme including the shampoo and conditioner which I adore.

Do you have any sea salt/foam recommendations for me? Do you love the TRESemme version? Let me know in the comments.

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Autumn Makeup...Nail Polishes!

Hello My Lovelies

Today is officially the first day of Autumn!! With this in mind I thought I would grab my favourite Autumn & Winter nail polish shades and share them with you.

I've had these Sally Hansen polishes for a couple of years and I love getting them out when the colder months strike. Pennies from heaven is a beautiful gold/bronze and perfect for the lead up to Christmas. The other, Commander in Chic is one I will reapply over and over- a lovely mink/brown/grey. The great thing about Sally Hansen polishes is the broad brush, one swipe and your good to go.

Orly Colour Blast in Ruby Red is a new addition to my collection a shiny, vibrant red with a hint of shimmer and sparkle perfect for Christmas parties and one I know I will be wearing on Christmas day! This shade from Orly was so easy to apply, two coats and no chipping even after five days of wear. The easy grip bottle top is a great addition making it even easier to apply this ultra luxe shimmer polish. I can't wait to get my hands on some more from this range.

What are your favourite nail polishes for Autumn let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
                   Tori.

Empties Number 9!

Hello My Lovelies

Welcome back to another empties! These are all of the products I've been using over the summer, there are a few other bits and bobs to come in the coming weeks that I've almost used so keep an eye out for those in my next favourites.

These Superdrug micellar water wipes were on offer (as most my beauty purchases are!) and seeing as I hadn't tried any form of micellar water before I thought I'd give these a whirl. They were surprisingly good- the one thing I hate about a face wipe are ones that are dry as soon as you open the packet, these were fab and did the job! I'll definatley be repurchasing these next time I go into Superdrug.

Imperial Leather Tropical paradise body wash. If I'm honest I'm not a fan of these types of Body washes as I'm drawn to Body Shop or Femfresh as they are a little less harsh on my sensitive skin but I thought I'd give it a whirl- whilst it wasn't awful I probably won't be repurchasing this particular one. It was very greasy and slimy to apply and I felt like no amount of water would wash it off.

I've raved about the Superdrug body lotion on my blog before, they have unfortunately discontinued it and I'm gutted!

Collection Green Apple lip balm was a freebie gift that came with a purchase a few months ago and I've not stopped using it since-I've actually already repurchased this one its that good!

Sure Aloe Vera motion sense deodorant is my favourite at the moment. It contains microcapsules that sit on the surface of the skin. As you move, underarm friction causes the capsules to burst, releasing immediate freshness. I have already purchased a couple of these when I saw them on offer in Boots.

What products have you been using up recently- let me know in the comments!

Till next time,

Curvy girl outfit of the Night!

Hello My Lovelies

On Friday night I went to my friends BBQ and wanted you all to see my outfit!

This top actually comes from Matalan of all places and looks so much more expensive than the £8 I paid! My trousers are a lovely soft summer pair from Marks and Spencer's. My wedges are from the Clarks sale and extremely comfortable and the green colour makes a nice change to a black or nude.
My favourite item from the outfit though has to my new Chloe handbag!

Have you seen my product of the month post featuring my new bag?!

What are your favourite clothes/accessories let me know in the comments.

Superdrug Limited Edition Sweet Shop Range!

Hello My Lovelies

When I was perusing the shelves at my local Superdrug I came across a selection of their Limited Edition Sweet Shop range, I was won over by pretty packaging and so I grabbed the bits that they had so I could share them with you all. If you love sweet and fruity scented toiletries then this is the range for you!

As I just mentioned I was drawn to this selection of products as I absolutely adore the packaging and love that this whole range is covered in pastel coloured sweets and lollipops- the Pear Drops shampoo a pink coloured sweetly scented shampoo doesn't disappoint. A good sized bottle that will last a decent amount of time and keep your shower cabinets looking super cute too, they also sell the conditioner to match.

I was also lucky enough to pick up the Jelly Bean body spray a not too fruity not too sickly sweet scent. As you all know by now I love a good body spray for days at work and to throw in my bag!
The final item I was able to pick up in my store are the Strawberry bon bon scented tissues which I actually bought for my sisters bed side table- a pretty box that I know she will love.

Also in the range is a Lemon Sherbet dry shampoo, Vanilla Fudge self heating face mask and Raspberry Bubblegum shower gel. The best bit of all is the price with most starting at 99p!!

Have you been lucky enough to pick up any of the Sweet Shop range? Let me know in the comments your favourite items.

Till next time,
                  Tori.

Bed Head JOYRIDE Launch Review!

Hello My Lovelies

When the lovely lot at Bed Head contacted me and said they had a world first for hair in the shape of a Powder Primer Balm I knew I had to try it.

JOYRIDE is an invisible powder that primes the hair by adding texture and grip thus making hair styling and hold easy!

It prevents first day fluffiness also de-frizzes and smooths both things my naturally curly hair suffers from. The balm has a beautiful fruity scent and applied easily to my fresh from the shower damp hair. I used a small amount (you don't want to overdo it!) through the mid lengths of my hair and then styled like I normally would- basically a quick whoosh with the hair dryer.
I noticed straight away that my hair felt lovely and soft and had high shine. I then wanted to test it against my hair tongs and set about curling my hair, I found my hair was more manageable and less frizzy so I was able to finish up in record time.

JOYRIDE's ground making formula which includes platinum charged and custom engineered elastomer molecules and used by TIGI's European Creative Director Akis Bodi- apparently this is the only product he has in his kit bag other than scissors so surely that means I need one of these in my own stash right?!

Make sure you pick yours up from today!

Have you tried any products from Bed Head and which are your favourites? Let me know in the comments!

Till next time,
